Funny how motivated a team can become when their GM picks up a quality bat before the trade deadline. The players on said team start thinking the management really wants them to go for broke.
If the SOX aren't going to win the championship this year, my first thought would be that I hope the Rays do. But, I won't hope that, because their 'fans' don't deserve it.
Even very good pitchers have off nights, not the night to be off, but thems the breaks. I'd like to tell you that tomorrow the SOX will have another good pitcher starting, but I'd be lying my ass off.
JD did have a great April and carried the team for much of that month. In fact, his April was so good that it's the main reason his stats are still respectable right now. So, at this point, I'll call him Mr April.
