  1. The only trouble with Devers getting on base is there's no Devers to drive him in.
  2. Here's what I've come up with after conferring with my Magic 8 Ball. Because there probably won't be any help coming any time soon from the farm, I would live or die with Dalbec as full-time 1st base. I would put Franchie as the everyday RF and I would platoon Kike and JBJ in CF. I would also keep Arroyo on the bench as much as possible.
  3. I guess the Angels' marketing plan is to spend most of their money on Trout and Ohtani, figuring that those two will bring in enough paying customers to keep the team in the black. Winning a WS doesn't appear to be part of their thinking.
  4. Why 'just kidding?' What you posted was spot on.
  5. Devers should have a lot more ribbies, but he has the excuse of Kike batting ahead of him.
  6. I'm pretty sure the SOX do, but at least not this time.
  7. Bogey's BA and RBI don't compute, but it's times like this where one can see why.
  8. Against this miserable Angels' offense 4 runs should have been enough.
  9. JBJ in CF. Cordero in RF. Sounds good to me.
  10. Don't want to jump the gun here, but maybe it's time to give Duran a longer look.
  11. Vegas, you should run on the field and give Bobby a hug.
  12. At least the SOX won't be facing the nasty Suarez.
  13. Some teams can't wait to go to their BP; unfortunately, the SOX aren't one of them.
  14. That should lower Trout's WAR, because his replacement just drove in a run.
  15. In case anyone is interested, Story is 4th in K's in MLB with 69. Schwarber is 3rd with 70.
  16. Vegas, there's more than a couple of teams in MLB this season that can say the same.
  17. Wade Martinez slapped that one hard. Does a player get more money for BA or for HR's?
  18. I'm pretty sure that once the SOX farm develops a starter then Whitlock can be the closer. Of course, Whitlock may be in his late 30's when that happens.
  19. The SOX got more out of Kike last year than they ever expected. This year, so far, not so much.
  20. I looked up 'rag arm' on the internet and there was a picture of Suarez. SOX should be pounding this guy. Both teams are on opposite types of streaks, and is the case, all streaks are eventually broken. Hopefully, it won't be the SOX.
  21. Dalbec is too young to have such a slow bat.
  22. Productive out. Sort of an oxymoron.
  23. Much as I love their losing streak, the Angels are due to win a game. Even the Reds win once in a while. Speaking of which, there are a ton of crappy teams in MLB this year. And Houston is blessed to continue to be in the weakest division in MLB.
  24. Trout is like fine china; it breaks easily, but it's very expensive.
  25. Meant to post Teddy Ballgame. Damn, how did I screw that up?
