  1. The NHL teams are just about playing games every other day and some games are back to back. Unless there are injuries, it's the same guys in every game. Nolan Ryan laughs at the way starters are babied and Cal Ripken laughs at how everyday players are babied. Between the exorbitant salaries and the constant nursing, baseball gets harder to like everyday.
  2. You have your opinion and I have mine. But we do agree that the SOX stink.
  3. No one ever said Devers was smart, but he is a very good hitter.
  4. Man on 2nd with no outs and fails to score. No team in MLB does that better than the SOX.
  5. To give credit where credit's due, this Jays team is damn good.
  6. Is it too early to post that this SOX team is in big trouble?
  7. Grand salami, salami, baloney!
  8. Offensive and defensive problems at crucial times for this team.
  9. Good performance tonight by EO.
  10. Runs charged to Berrios and no chance of a win. That's good.
  11. Kind of dumb pitching to JD with 1st base open and really no threats batting behind him.
  12. Good to see EO throwing more breaking balls than usual.
  13. SOX have been hitting long foul balls; it's the fair ones that stay in the park.
  14. He's being rested according to what I read.
  15. Btw, MOON, you can throw me under the bus if/when the SOX lose.
  16. That comes under the heading 'pathetic.'
  17. Has an acting manager ever been fired?
  18. Not to be completely Debbie Downer; there are some pretty good bats down on the farm. Pitching-wise? I don't know.
  19. d-money, it's not all on Bloom. He works for JH and JH controls the money. There's a new philosophy in the FO and that is to develop youngsters and no more long term contracts. Story was signed to replace Bogey, who will be gone after this season. The odds are that Devers contract won't be extended either. Get used to more mediocre seasons.
  20. I know it's early in the season, but based on what I've seen, especially starting pitching and believing that JH isn't gonna allow any major moves this season, this is at best a .500 ball club. So it is what it is.
  21. Well, Hill did his job even though he was relieved of it kind of early.
  22. Not that I expect JD to have an overpowering year, at least his presence in the line-up makes that deep dark hole from 6-9 somewhat shallower.
