  1. That's a good question. If the SOX are still contending by the trade deadline, I seriously doubt it.
  2. But Duran not with the team gave Arroyo a 'shot' to play RF.
  3. I think most of us know that Arroyo is not a valid option to play the OF.
  4. Shutting down Devers is a proven way of shutting down the SOX.
  5. VAZ is silently having a good season at the plate.
  6. I'm talking about the present not the past. If Ref over a larger sample size proves he's not hitting any better than JBJ, then Cora will have to go to another plan. But hitting better than JBJ is a low bar.
  7. Dugo's habit of trotting to 1st on grounders sucks. Certain managers in the old days would bench a player for that shite. But this is the new baseball. Devers also does it; it's not a good look, but if Cora doesn't mind, why should I?
  8. It's too bad that Arroyo can't or is not allowed to play 1st.
  9. SOX everyday OF: Dugo Duran Ref 1st base s/b platooned between Cordero and Dalbec. This isn't rocket science.
  10. I wonder if Cora has had an epiphany and now realizes that Ref is a better hitter than JBJ, and that Ref s/b the everyday RF.
  11. I'm too lazy to look, but I seriously doubt any MLB team playing over .500 has such low production from their 3 & 4 hitters.
  12. Fortunately? Unlike a couple of the SOX superstars, he normally hits dingers when there are men on base.
  13. So everything he's done prior to this game has been erased?
  14. Considering that JD and Bogey have a combined 62 RBI, imho, the SOX are very fortunate to be where they are in the standings.
  15. Story sent a clothesline to left.
  16. But they're not playing the Orioles or the Cardinals.
  17. Wacha is only human. He was due for a bad start. Happens to the best pitchers.
  18. I'm gonna miss JD Roboto next season. Only kidding about the missing him part.
  19. Great run by MOON on the opening game threads. Ya dun good, ol' buddy.
  20. Btw, contraction would also be beneficial to the other 3 major team sports.
  21. W/O Latino ballplayers, MLB would really be hurting.
  22. Exactly, but as you and I both know that will never happen. Another elephant in the MLB room is the sparsity of African Americans who are interested in MLB.
  23. It seems like Lowrie has been around since the 90's.
