SOX are going HR crazy.
-
Paxton is 4 years younger than Scherzer and 6 years younger than Verlander. Scherzer and Verlander are each getting 43 mil next season. I doubt the SOX will have to pay Paxton 43 mil/year. Plus the fact that Paxton is pitching better than either this year.
-
Why not? It ain't like there's a ton of pitching at the farm, as usual.
-
Ron Darling's response to that caught liner "Hmm." He's an insufferable little twerp.
-
Nice comeback start from Paxton tonight. The guy's just a talented pitcher.
-
The corner infielders ideally should be the power guys; at least the SOX got that one right.
-
Productive out by Dugo. Got to find something positive lately.
-
Speaking of HR or nothing, may I introduce Peter Alonzo.
-
Earl Weaver was a big fan of 3-run homers. Probably not so big a fan of 3 one-run homers.
-
Chang reminds me of a smaller version of Mark Reynolds.
-
Chang goes clang. HR or nothing.
-
Expansion team material.
-
Cora to Kike: "It's OK son. We'll still go for ice cream after the game."
-
JH isn't entirely blameless, but who's gonna fire him?
-
Dugo may want to deploy his parachute.
-
Alfaro; not the future.
-
Scherzer, Verlander and Lindor are being paid a total of 121 mil this year. I'm not an accountant, but I would guess the Mets aren't getting much bang for the buck.
-
Nice play by Devers who may have made that tougher than it had to be.
-
Scherzer proving that the SOX pitchers aren't the only ones who allow HR's.
-
Duran and Casas; the future.
-
Scherzer vs Paxton My bad. S/B 7/22. Duran Masa Turner(DH) Devers Dugo Casas Kike Alfaro Chang SOX must stop 3 game skid. Scherzer is no longer prime-time. I'm not concerned about him, but I am concerned that the SOX have been struggling to get that big hit in their last 3 games. Go SOX!

Watching the Dodgers/Rangers game and again Freddy Freeman continues to reinforce my belief that he is the best hitter in MLB.
-
If this was the movie MAJOR LEAGUE, I would agree with that. But the truth is no one is accusing the SOX players of not trying to win; it's just a fact that maximum effort is no replacement for talent.
-
Of course it isn't and if JH has plans to continue treating the SOX as a mid-market franchise, then he should do the SOX fans a favor and sell the team.
-
Staying under the luxury tax is more importment to multi-billionaire JH than making a serious run at the PO's. IOW, F the fans.
