  1. PSYCHO was iconic. It changed everything in the thriller/horror movie genre. Overrated? IMHO, no way. The sequels to both, like you posted, were terrible.
  2. Let's just say the directing was great, the writing was great, the shark was great, Scheider and Dreyfuss were great, John Williams ' score was great, and Mr Shaw was perfectly cast (pardon the pun). Oh, and the boat was great, even though in the movie a bigger boat was requested by Mr Scheider. In AFI's 100 most thrilling films JAWS placed second behind Hitchcock's PSYCHO.
  3. Bra Man gave up the one run and that's who I was referring to. If you're gonna defend Bra Man, then you might as well defend all the other driftwood on this team. And the 2 reliable relievers I was referring to are Schreiber and Houck who gave up no runs, which is not unusual for both. Oops, I left off Whitlock as reliable; forgot he was back in the pen.
  4. Which were 46 more runs than needed to accomplish the same thing.
  5. He'll probably manage? til the end of this season, but I do like the idea of V-tek taking over after the TDL.
  6. Here's a stunning fact: In the last 4 games the SOX have been outscored 59-9.
  7. Now you're just trying to make me feel better.
  8. I guess hitting that HR last night w/o Cora's permission really put REF in Cora's doghouse. I hope Cora's gone by next year.
  9. The relay from JBJ to Sanchez earlier in the game was almost a perfect replication of how the Cards' Enos Slaughter scored the winning run in the 7th game of the 1946 WS against the SOX.
  10. A quality start by Kutter today, but with the SOX only having 2 reliable relievers, getting thru the 9th is a bridge too far.
  11. I wonder what EO's smiling about? Oh, yeah, his paycheck.
  12. He's got a lot of company with this team.
  13. Bad hitters should let the ball hit them unless it's head high.
  14. It could be worse. The SOX could have drafted Duran Duran, but it wouldn't have been that much worse.
  15. Trading JD will be difficult, but trading JD with more issues of back spasms will make it even more difficult. What's surprising to me is I'd never heard of robots having back problems.
  16. I guess he doesn't like to be stared at as helpless SOX batters walk back to the dugout. Just another talented A-hole playing MLB.
  17. In Cora's mind hitting a HR requires a benching.
  18. Yolmer isn't a prospect; he played 6 years with the White Sox before coming to Boston.
  19. I guess he's not a Cora favorite like JBJ. Bloom should do Ref a favor by trading him.
  20. As I've posted before, I still think Kutter has the best stuff of any SOX starter.
  21. But they already had the irreplaceable JBJ.
  22. The SOX should have sprung at Springer.
  23. Nope, it's an example of an unproductive SS looking to make 25-30mil/yr.
