Scherzer, Verlander and Lindor are being paid a total of 121 mil this year. I'm not an accountant, but I would guess the Mets aren't getting much bang for the buck.

Scherzer vs Paxton My bad. S/B 7/22. Duran Masa Turner(DH) Devers Dugo Casas Kike Alfaro Chang SOX must stop 3 game skid. Scherzer is no longer prime-time. I'm not concerned about him, but I am concerned that the SOX have been struggling to get that big hit in their last 3 games. Go SOX!

Watching the Dodgers/Rangers game and again Freddy Freeman continues to reinforce my belief that he is the best hitter in MLB.

If this was the movie MAJOR LEAGUE, I would agree with that. But the truth is no one is accusing the SOX players of not trying to win; it's just a fact that maximum effort is no replacement for talent.

Of course it isn't and if JH has plans to continue treating the SOX as a mid-market franchise, then he should do the SOX fans a favor and sell the team.

Staying under the luxury tax is more importment to multi-billionaire JH than making a serious run at the PO's. IOW, F the fans.

Btw, indifference by the FO can and will adversely effect the play on the field.

Whether the SOX are buyers or sellers nothing, imho, major is going to happen. Also, based on the fact the SOX have had only 3 starters for quite awhile now, it seems the FO isn't that interested in making a serious run at the PO's anyway.

Bloom could trade Duvall for a high A prospect or he could add Kike and then obtain a low A prospect.
