  1. Actually, Pivetta's BP ERA is under 2 and his WHIP is under 1. He didn't do that just against the terrible A's.
  2. I like Sears much better, but he's probably untouchable.
  3. O's and Rays both lost earlier. A SOX win tonight moves them to 8 games back of 1st.
  4. Regarding MLB's top 100 prospects, the SOX have two. Mayer(SS) at #4 and Rafaela(OF) at #73.
  5. Good job by Bernardino. He's been a very pleasant surprise so far this season.
  6. The only thing that makes me a little antsy about tonight's game is it's on the west coast. For SOX fans no further explanation is required.
  7. Duran Dugo Turner Masa(DH) Duvall Casas Arroyo Wong Chang The DU B'S will patrol the OF.
  8. There's probably more people here on this game thread than will be at the game.
  9. I certainly hope that's an ACME chainsaw. ACME products worked very reliably for Wily Coyote.
  10. Personally, I'd rather the SOX trade Kike instead of Duvall. Kike provides much less to the SOX PO hunt. At least Duvall does provide a power hitting RH bat to a predominantly LH line-up. Seriously, what does Kike provide? Most here, myself included, don't even like to see his name in the line-up.
  11. Great job by Crawford today. Only the 2nd starter for the SOX to pitch 6 or more scoreless innings this season. Also, Masa was Massive today.
  12. Had to leave after the 6th inning. Just finished watching the rest of the game and discovered this. Just when you thought you'd seen the shittiest pitcher the Sox could bring to the mound so far this season, it turns out they even have a shittier pitcher in reserve. Faria and others like him are the reasons expansion makes so little sense.
  13. When the foul pole should actually be called the fair pole, one has an inkling that baseball doesn't always make sense.
  14. Steele provides further proof that even the best pitchers have off days. Paxton was proof of that yesterday.
  15. They've spent a lot more on a lot less. Thank you, Capt. Obvious.
  16. Mass Attack! That certainly wasn't a ground ball. Man of Steele has met his Kryptonite.
  17. 3rd game from the Cubs' feed and I can safely announce, imho, Joe Girardi is insufferable. Similar to Youk, but with a lot more whine in his voice.
  18. You're right; it didn't matter, but he should have been on third.
  19. Perfect throw will always kill slow.
  20. Masa does kill a lot of worms. Hits ground balls 56% of his AB's. League average is 43%.
  21. The steal sign comes from the bench.
  22. DEVERS DEliVERS! Hope that ill advised steal attempt doesn't come back to haunt.
