  1. I agree about your concern. The point of my post was that the players who have replaced Casas have been, for lack of a better word, terrible. No Gehrig's in that bunch.
  2. Thanks, MOON. His RBI definitely don't reflect those impressive numbers.
  3. OBS=On Base Slugging. Oops, my bad. It should be OPS. Thanks for the correction.
  4. Good comeback win by the SOX. Kenley, who should deservedly end up in the HOF, is likely to be traded. IMHO, if the SOX are gonna trade him, they should do it while he's healthy and not risk waiting for the trade deadline.
  5. I know Devers' OBS is around .930 at this point in the season, which is excellent. I'd like to know what his OBS is with men on base?
  6. I was drinking at an outside bar here in Syracuse, which is Yankem country, when Nava hit that grand slam on his 1st at bat. I was a little drunk and outnumbered by Yankem idiots. I was fortunate to leave that bar alive.
  7. If Rafaela's offense ever comes close to his defense, that will be something to see.
  8. Wally Pipp, the starting 1st baseman for the Yankems, got injured and was replaced by Lou Gehrig. Wally never played 1st base for the Yankems again. I don't think that's gonna happen to Casas.
  9. I would have expected him to pinch hit for Dulbec.
  10. I wonder if Dom Smith is in Cora's doghouse?
  11. True, but I posted that before the last out in the top of the 7th.
  12. In the NBA there's no 'I' in team, but there are a lot of 'Me's.'
  13. I see your disinterest and raise you my disinterest, which I believe is more than your disinterest.
  14. The SOX are trying to make this into a drama.
  15. Because of my innate modesty, I very seldom admit that I'm no Splinter, but I am Splendid.
  16. D. Hamilton. A player starting the season in the outhouse and now residing in the penthouse. Let's hope he doesn't get evicted.
  17. Hamilton. He should be put on paper currency.
  18. With today's pitch count procedure, it would take the average pitcher at least 30 days to pitch 34 innings.
  19. He defined the cliche "worth the price of admission."
  20. That's how you execute a shutdown inning.
  21. Don't forget Tiant's baserunning skills. Often overlooked, but never forgotten. I loved Tiant.
  22. Great rally inning for SOX. Viva Valdez!
  23. With that in mind Wheeler is a throw back to those days.
