  1. It's all about command. He throws strikes, but has no command of his pitches consistently. His W/L record is more representative of the SOX offense, than his pitching talent.
  2. Will give the Royals Story and the SOX top three prospects for Witt, Jr.
  3. Bobby Witt, Jr is from another planet. Best all-around player in MLB, imho.
  4. A grooved change-up usually doesn't end well. Fortunately, it was a solo.
  5. OTOH, Wong had been hitting .353 with 2 outs and RISP.
  6. Would the KC manager have walked Devers if Abreu had remained at 1st? Probably not.
  7. The majority of those error were earlier in the season when the SOX starters were pitching quite well.
  8. They are also 1st in most errors in MLB, which is why their W/L record isn't more reflective of the two above stats.
  9. They're actually 1st in MLB in OPS. They are 6th in the AL in team ERA and 13th in MLB in ERA.
  10. A mediocre LH gives the SOX more trouble than a Cy Young contending RH. It's been proven for a great deal of the season.
  11. Good shut down inning. Pitch count not encouraging.
  12. I've been noticing that, also. But it really hasn't effected the SOX offensively. They just don't score often in the 1st, but make up for it in the remaining 8.
  13. Great to see the opposing team make a big infield error.
  14. SOX lead MLB in OPS at .776 and are tied with San Diego for the lead in BA at .264.
  15. 9 runs, 18 hits, 27 outs. Good win!
  16. Sims is definitely the SOX go-to guy from the pen at this point.
  17. A very good quality start by James.
  18. I posted that James shouldn't have come out in the 6th. How wrong was that?
  19. SOX announcer said that Masa was 'motoring' to second. In the case of Masa I believe 'scootering' would be more apropos.
  20. And the runs just keep on comin'. The SOX are an offensive juggernaut.
  21. A very timely hit by Duran.
  22. So far Sogard has been better than just so so.
  23. At this point I'd say "nice job, James," and then bring in a reliever to start the 6th.
