  1. Nice top of the 1st for the SOX. Score a run and make the Jays' Ace throw 30 pitches.
  2. My bad. I keep forgetting that Cora is a managerial genius. Glad you're here to keep reminding me.
  3. Ist base is open, the Jays' most dangerous hitter is up. It's managing 101.
  4. I agree, but that would be filed under managing. Dugo's throw pulled both Jansen's and Cora's ass out of the fire.
  5. Compared to the other RH batters on the SOX, Turner is Joe DiMaggio.
  6. Bogey and JD. Between the two of them left an overabundance of runners on base last season.
  7. I wonder if his wrist is bothering him. Some here used that excuse for Bogey last season.
  8. DEVERS DEliVERS! 21st HR allowed by Jays' pitcher this season. 2nd most in MLB.
  9. Devers has hardly had any baserunning blunders mainly because he's hardly been on base.
  10. Vegas, you have the rare pleasure of late to initiate 2 game threads in a row. Cheers!
  11. Too bad they couldn't have just played .500 against the rest of the schedule.
  12. So against the Jays and the Yankems the SOX are 10-1. Berry Oh's has a career record against the SOX of 1-6.
  13. Another excellent performance by Paxton, who is as close to an ACE as the SOX have had since the healthy years of Sale.
  14. Devers needs to swing harder. Btw, the SOX are 21-21 at home and 19-21 on the road. Now that's a consistent team.
  15. Employing ML standards Hamilton is a one tool player.
  16. Turner turns it around! The only RH batter on the SOX who is a threat at this point.
  17. If the SOX can't win when Bello and Paxton start, then they will be in line for a high draft pick next year.
  18. I guess Betts and Bogey weren't happy in Boston. That's why I'm not sad they're gone.
  19. Berrios has improved since he faced the SOX in May and the SOX offense has deteriorated since then. Final score SOX-9, Jays-5.
  20. Interesting info I just gathered watching the Guardians/Cubs game. Cleveland re-signed Jose Ramirez to a 7yr/ 140 million deal beginning next season. He is 30 years old. That was a geat deal for Cleveland considering he is a better hitter and fielder than Devers and is 10 mil/yr less expensive. In fact, that contract arguably makes Ramirez the best bang for the buck in MLB. At his present 14 mll/yr he already is the best bang for the buck.
  21. Completely gone. This is the classic case of 2nd guessing. Similar to criticizing a manager's decision after the fact; something I admit guilty of doing.
