  1. He certainly was that. Also the main reason I became SOX fan and not a Yamkem fan. Living here in central NY, this is mainly Yankem country.
  2. Maybe the SOX are suffering from delayed jet lag. Fortunately, this is a short west coast trip.
  3. Jock is 28, so I don't expect he'll be the next Roger the Dodger. I'd be happy if he could just be the next Bernardino.
  4. Someone to build an expansion team around.
  5. Cherish these games against the A's; you may never again see a weaker offense than these A's possess.
  6. Fun fact: In 1941 when Joe D had his 56 game hitting streak, during that same period of time Teddy Ballgame had a higher BA than Joe.
  7. 14 straight game hitting streak for Turner. Only 43 more to go to break the record.
  8. Why do I have the bad feeling that Kluber is going to get another shot at starting? Please tell me my feeling is wrong.
  9. Hopefully, Bloom can find a starter. Pivetta has finally found his comfort zone.
  10. Last night Pivetta set a record. I believe I've also set a personal record in employing the word 'hopefully' this season more than any previous season.
  11. Masa doesn't have to speak; he let's his bat do all the talking.
  12. Hopefully, Bloom is currently talking to the Tigers' FO about Lorenzen.
  13. This 2 BP starts every 5 days will not sustain, obviously.
  14. Jaques' stats do reflect he is already a stinker. 19 hits in 14 innings along with 9 earned runs.
  15. Bloom better go after a starter, sooner rather than later.
  16. Bernardino has been a pleasant surprise so far. Jock Strap has not.
  17. It appears the longer Arroyo stays healthy, the worse his offensive numbers get.
  18. Back in the '50's Eddie Yost was referred to as the 'walking man.' Will Casas be a much larger version of the 'walking man?'
  19. Duvall's future with the SOX doesn't look too good if Ref is replacing him against a RH.
  20. According to A's announcer the runner has a maximum 3 foot distance from the baseline at the attempt of the tag.
  21. Two outs on that play; Kemp and Kotsay.
  22. I guess alternate nicknames could have been LOBSTERS, BEANS, GREEN MONSTERS,and REVERES. whatever. Can anyone think of other potential nicknames?
  23. I agree 100%. That was the whole point of my half-baked post. It would be advantageous for the Angels to trade Ohtani and get something than have him walk at the end of the season and get nothing.
  24. My thought was that by trading Judge would free up money for the Yankems to re-sign Ohtani for whatever years. Also, the 200 million the Angels would save by obtaining Judge would help them financially. Of course, the other option for the Angels is to keep Ohtani and unload Trout. Good luck with unloading oft injured Trout.
  25. Here's a question for you, Notin. Could you see the Yankems trading Judge to the Angels for Ohtani? Obviously, Judge would have to be off the IL before the TDL.
