  1. Well, both softball and bowling have beer in common.
  2. I remember when I played SS in high school in the early '60's(all glove, no bat), I proudly owned a Wilson Nelly Fox glove. It was a thing of beauty.
  3. I'm guessing Duvall will be traded.
  4. I have Vogelbach on my fantasy softball beer team.
  5. A couple of brain farts on the bases tonight, Anyway I believe it's about time to promote Duran to an everyday player.
  6. Good job. I have Alonso on my fantasy HR derby team.
  7. Murphy pitched 3+ good innings. Don't know why he was expected to go longer than that.
  8. With tomorrow off I find it strange that Pivetta's not coming in. I hope this works out.
  9. Carrasco is getting 14mil/yr. Makes Kluber look like a bargain.
  10. Carrasco entered game with a 5.43ERA and the ESPN booth is scratching their heads why he's getting hit so hard.
  11. Oh, great. SOX are on ESPN again Wednesday.
  12. I wish ESPeeN would shove these on field interviews in a place where the sun don''t shine.
  13. Btw, not trading Bogey before last year's deadline was the biggest blunder in Bloom's position of GM.
  14. Trading Paxton, IMHO, would be giving up on the season. And Sale's and Whitlock's injury history gives me no confidence that either could finish the season w/o another injury.
  15. Maybe the two days off will get Dugo back on track when MLB's best team plays Boston on Tuesday.
  16. I tried watching the O's/Rays game on my Xtra Innings and found the game was blacked out here in central NY. Very strange.
  17. Carrascoi(RH) vs Bernardino I'm expecting Bernardino to pitch one or two innings followed by Pivetta. I also expect to see the same line-up as last night, with maybe Arroyo or Turner replacing Kike at 2nd and Wong definitely replacing Alfaro. Tonight's game will be telecast by ESPN. Go SOX!
  18. So if my understanding is correct, whether the SOX are still in the PO hunt or not, instead of going after a proven starting pitcher, the SOX should trade a proven starting pitcher for a pitching prospect. Well, if they are in the PO race at the time, that kind of trade would end that drama and the SOX can return to their cellar apartment long term, where it's actually cooler than a more expensive higher up apartment.
  19. We're on the same page, MOON, except even if the SOX do falter before the TDL, I would still try to re-sign Paxton.
  20. I thought I'd heard Schreiber would be back before now. Has he suffered a set back?
  21. That would be more than fair. Prior to his injuries Paxton had a very good pitching resume and it doesn't look like he's lost a step so far this season.
  22. This is true, but what I posted was Paxton is younger than those two and is having a better season. And he won't cost the SOX 43 mil/yr for two years.
