  1. The SOX have 4 prospects in the top 100, and the FO has made it pretty clear they're not trading any of them.
  2. That would give the SOX 2 Ohtani's.
  3. Right now there are 24 teams in MLB still in contention for a PO spot.
  4. It was mentioned that it would be nice to get a starter, but not the priority. As for the BP, they mentioned the SOX BP was no better or worse than any other team's BP. That every contender was looking for BP help.
  5. Getting the Rockies' feed and was just informed that the SOX best hitter is batting .218 against LH's. That adds to why the SOX have a poor record against LH's.
  6. Heard some SOX talking heads mention today the SOX priority s/b a RH bat. As for another starter and BP help, most stated that Cora could make what they already have work.
  7. I highly doubt the SOX will pick up Paxton having recently gotten rid of him. But if he hadn't already been a member of the SOX, they would grab him in a NY minute. Because that's how the recent version of the SOX operate. When I say recent. I mean the last few years. In fact DFA should be changed to DFB-Destined For Boston.
  8. They must have DFA'd Paxton for giving up 2 runs against the SOX as a left hander.
  9. Horn and Anderson being members of the SOX reflect just how barren the SOX farm is in pitching.
  10. Nah, that series would have had to been played in Florida.
  11. Ruth wasn't actually a trade. He was sold for $150,000, although the amount seems to be in question. Btw, speaking of trades, for a NY minute the SOX and Yankems were discussing trading Williams for DiMaggio. Rumor has it that the SOX also wanted Berra and that pretty much ended the discussion.
  12. If the SOX FO was serious about a PO bid, they would have done something significant by now. I'm guessing they're betting the farm, no pun intended, that their precious prospects will turn this franchise around. Maybe by next year or the year after. Looks like they're following the O's plan. Only problem is there's no future pitching prospects on the farm, so they're gonna have to buy some during the offseason.
  13. Are you disputing the words of Big Papi? Blasphemy!
  14. I've got a better suggestion, but it would cause me to get banned.
  15. Recently Kenley's trade value, if they go that way, has taken a significant dive.
  16. Big Papi predicted a few days ago that this SOX team will win the WS. And Papi don't lie. So, after the SOX do win the 2024 WS we will have to disclaim any knowledge of today's posts. I will probably change my moniker.
  17. Well, MOON, that Sale trade did include eating 17 million of Sale's salary. That has to be included in making that trade even worse.
  18. I think a lawsuit wouldn't be out of the question. Pain & suffering usually goes over well in court.
  19. On youtube earlier they did a video on the worst trades ever. One that was included was the Bagwell for Anderson trade. I've got to wonder where the current SOX trade of Sale to Atlanta for whatever his name is, oh yeah, Grissom, stacks up as the worst trade ever?
  20. Well, I knew 'sucked' fitted in there somewhere.
  21. Interesting, the SOX offense pretty much halted after their 1st two batters hit and Kutter's good pitching pretty much halted after the 1st two batters he faced.
  22. Bigfoot playing footsy with the Loch Ness Monster. I believe, Notin, that you've just given Universal an idea for next summer's big blockbuster.
  23. Probably 4, if you include Kershaw.
  24. Shame on you. Btw, the Dodgers have also had their share of injuries.
