  1. Criswell vs Carrasco(RH) It appears from the MRI that Casas has a fractured rib from a hard swing. He's looking to be on the IL for 6 months. To help remedy the situation the Cubs have just recently DFA'd their 1st baseman Garrett Cooper. He's an 8 year veteran with an OPS+ of 109. If the SOX FO has any interest in making this team half-way competitive, they will make a large effort to snag this guy. Obviously, Dalbec and Reyes aren't the answer. Btw, Cooper is also an above average glove at 1st and he bats from the right side. I have no confidence this FO jumps at this opportunity.
  2. Although I'm not sure being a reliever would reduce his injury proneness. According to my computer, 'proneness' is a word.
  3. Timing is everything. The SOX are playing Cleveland at the wrong time,
  4. The FO didn't give Cora much of a choice. I do agree Whit s/b a reliever.
  5. On a positive note, imho, Wylie has been very good offensively and defensively. He's a keeper.
  6. As soon as the SOX were down by two, Cora knew the game was over.
  7. Except for their feelings, no SOX was injured tonight, at least I think so.
  8. I guess one could call this game SWINGING IN THE RAIN.
  9. The SOX are due for a 3-run homer.
  10. When do we play the Pirates again?
  11. Hey, solo HR's are the SOX domain. Live by the solo; die by the solo.
  12. Booser's had TJ surgery and suffered a broken back from a car accident. IOW, the SOX kind of guy.
  13. My BRUINS got beat last night, but, at least, they had 41 hits.
  14. Wasn't that special?
  15. Good job by Bernie.
  16. Great job by Houck. He out pitched Lively because Houck had to pitch against an MLB line-up.
  17. Because of the base running, another chance at a solo HR.
  18. BTW, Wylie's HR was a solo job. How rare has that been so far this season?
  19. I believe he isn't done yet, but I may be wrong.
  20. Actually, that's true for all SOX pitchers.
  21. Unfortunately for Houck he doesn't get to pitch against his own team.
  22. Nice D by Bobby D.
  23. Gives Duran a better shot at a solo HR.
