    Imho, Bregman is looking for 6 years and 185 mil. He may get that, but not from JH.

    What a scam that was perpetrated on SOX fans. JH and the FO never had any intention of signing Soto. They waved 700 mil out there knowing they would be outbid by both the Yankems and Mets. If anyone here believes JH is going to spend any serious money on any FA still standing who could improve the team is delusional. This team needs a new owner. And if I'm proved wrong about the above, I'll be glad to eat crow.

    If the SOX decide to leave Devers at third, it's probably just as well they didn't sign Fried. He being a ground ball pitcher.

    They'll probably end the off season with Eovaldi and call it a success. Hell, just let the top 4 prospects start the season. It'll at least raise NESN's poor ratings.

    SOX are prioritizing on Bergman when they need a top shelf starter. It's down to Burnes and Crochet and I believe the SOX get neither.

    How does this guy Andrews have any credibility when he didn't even know the greatest SOX player wasn't a right fielder? What's gonna happen in the off season will happen and all the predictions are a waste of time reading or watching.

    If Manaea was replaced with one of the top three pitchers I've already mentioned, it would be a damned good one. BTW, I just recently heard that BURNES wants to pitch closer to his hometown, which means he could be heading to the Giants. I believe trading for Crochet is the SOX best chance of the 3.

    The SOX FO appears to have the money to spend on both an ACE starter and a big RH bat, but the problem always seems to be they are either a day late or a dollar short or both. This is why the SOX have the nickname 'interested.'

    Call me a pessimist and based on previous off seasons I have every right to be, but I believe most of us are going to be disappointed with this off season also. Personally I'm glad the SOX didn't get Soto. However, if the SOX don't acquire Fried, Burnes, or Crochet, I will consider this another failed off season. BTW, I'm twice as glad the Yankems lost Soto. At least the two tool player is no longer in the AL East.

    Either would be fine by me. BTW, MOON, Suzuki is available for trade by the Cubs. How do feel about the SOX trading for him?

    Soto just offered 730 mil from Mets. Willy Adames signs with Giants. OK, SOX time to go after some players, but not from Goodwill. We've had enough of that. Burnes should be the SOX big target. He'll be a bargain compared to Soto. Try not to be the 'interested' SOX again.

    It won't be near as hefty as what they'd have to pay Soto.

    Btw, MOON, good to talk to you again. The other plus with Vlad is he's a RH hitter. Devers followed by Vlad in the line-up may not be Ortiz and Manny, but it would still be damned impressive.

    In the likelihood that Soto does sign with the Mets, at least it gets him out of the AL East. Also, the Yankems losing Soto would also be great.

    Vlad is one year older than Casas. I seriously doubt that Casas will outhit Vlad over the next 5 years. On a more realistic path I certainly hope the SOX can pick up either Fried, Burnes or Crochett.

    Both are approximately the same age so a long term contract for Vlad, Jr would be just as reasonable as the same length contract for Soto. Personally, I just prefer Vlad over Soto. Like I posted above, the odds are the SOX acquire neither.

    I believe Soto ends up with the Mets. However, there is a plan B. How about the SOX trade Casas, Abreu and either Mayer or Campbell to the Jays for Vlad, Jr? IMHO, Vlad is a better hitter than Soto and better defensively. He's also the answer to the SOX RH batter shortage. The money saved gives the SOX a better chance of signing either Fried or Burnes. I doubt the Jays' trade happens, but at least it's an alternate plan.

    A-hole Jansen physically left the team before this home stand. It appears many of the SOX mentally joined him. Btw, it's difficult to hit a baseball if one's been practicing his golf swing over the last couple of weeks.

    If this final home stand was supposed to leave a good taste in our mouths, well, then this can also be added to the season's failure list.

    Btw, Can't Hardly Wait was a mediocre film from '98, but a terrific song by The Replacements in '87. This song includes the wonderful lyric "Jesus rides beside me; He never buys any smokes."

    Will the SOX finish at .500 and will the SOX finish 3rd in the AL East? Both these very important questions will be answered tomorrow. I'm sure you can't hardly wait.
