  1. I loved it. He's not on the SOX anymore, so fk him. He didn't want to stay in Boston because he knew he could make more money in LA on side projects. Fans are going crazy over a guy who didn't even want to play in their city.
  2. I feel that mental and physical errors are on the players, especially mental errors. Setting up a player to fail by employing him at a position he isn't used to, well, that falls on either the manager or general manager. Also, there are players(Devers, for example) who are not very good defensively, and probably never will be, but the manager has to keep them in the line-up because of their bat.
  3. The truth of the matter isn't coachable or uncoachable; it's the fact that some players have more baseball smarts than others. I don't know if that can be taught. That's true in all sports and even in non-sports related jobs.
  4. To echo Notin's post earlier, Roberts would have countered with a RH Chris Taylor.
  5. I was half-kidding about uncoachable. The players who make the fewest mental errors during the game have already calculated what they're gonna do before anything happens. Wong should have been aware that the runner ahead of him is one of the slowest runners on the team, if not the slowest. Obviously, that fact never entered his mind and the mental fart running the bases happened.
  6. It could be worse, MOON. They all could have won.
  7. Roberts was smart enough to be coachable.
  8. It is possible the SOX have too many players who are just uncoachable.
  9. Notin screws up another argument with a well-thought out post.
  10. I don't know if Dave Roberts is a genius, but I do know that w/o him being available to pinch run for Kevin Millar, the SOX probably lose to the Yankems in game 4 and, of course, no 2004 championship. I'll always admire Dave Roberts.
  11. A talented baseball team, like the Dodgers, will make their manager look like a genius. Kind of like how the 2018 SOX made Cora look like a genius.
  12. There must be something bad that happens during the game that is the manager's fault. I remember Joe Torre once said when he was managing the Yankems, "I just make out the line-up and then I get out of the way."
  13. 3 hour game tonight; just like the old days.
  14. The two best teams in baseball are in the NL. It really should be something when they play each other in the NLCS.
  15. One thing that can be said about the Dodgers; they spend a lot of money, but they do spend it wisely.
  16. Bullwinkle: "Hey, Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat. Nothing up my sleve. Presto! Wrong hat."
  17. In Pivetta's defense he has been overused of late.
  18. I saw the error of my ways and did correct it.
  19. That s/b 3-0 count. I'm a bonehead.
  20. All of a sudden Cora is Captain Hook. Very good job by Kutter tonight.
