  1. He may go nameless, but he won't go penniless.
  2. Swinging bunts and catching foul tips are equally hard to practice.
  3. I knew the 38 year old Turner would help the SOX offensively. What I didn't know was that he would be the SOX best hitter. Hopefully, he returns next season.
  4. So to rehash the unimportance of defense you're saying it's just as easy for a pitcher to get 4 outs in an inning as 3 outs. And the additional pitch count means nothing. Got it. Can't argue with that.
  5. Actually, Kutter ended any reason.
  6. We can discuss this over the next 11 years.
  7. Which is strange because of the SOX renowned history of developing pitchers.
  8. Dave Bush is bushed dealing with this bush pitching staff.
  9. The SOX died yesterday. Today we're dealing with rigor mortis.
  10. With Valdez's stuff those two runs may be already enough.
  11. At this point in the season Turner easily gets my vote as SOX MVP.
  12. Based on the state of SOX pitching, both starters and relievers, based on their defense, or lack of, based on their untimely hitting, and based on their remaining schedule, imho, it would take a minor miracle for them to finish the season over .500.
  13. The season will end "not with a bang, but with a whimper." TS Elliott Just like this game ended.
  14. I think Youk is bad luck for the SOX. Anyone know the SOX record when Youk's in the booth?
  15. Neither is hitting, so I don't believe social distancing would make much difference at this point.
  16. Story is a gold glove, who currently swings a lead bat.
  17. Maybe Llovera should be the 1st guy called in when the starters continue to go less than 5.
  18. Actually, I've accepted the fact that Devers is what he is defensively. It's this long streak of clutchless(not a word, but I like it)at bats that pisses me off. He's supposed to be the offensive driver of this club, but when he's been really needed, he's just been a passenger.
  19. Now who's being sarcastic?
  20. Complete ugly sarcasm. I forget that sarcasm can be tricky.
  21. Nope. I'm older than Mick Jagger. Oh, wait, maybe a couple years younger.
