  1. Gallen vs Crawford Diamondbacks have been the best team in MLB since July 1st. SOX playing at home. That's not good. Go SOX!
  2. I wii say that this has definitely been Devers' best season defensively.
  3. So, Devers has all these high stats with a sore shoulder. Interesting, although I wouldn't consider 77 RBI that high considering his number of opportunities. And I'll get off his back when I feel like it.
  4. Good research, MOON, but numbers don't hide what I see game in and game out. Runner on base isn't the same as runners in scoring position. He's been poor at that this season. His numbers there don't lie.
  5. Again, his BA with RISP is in the .230's. Are you with me, sweet cheeks?
  6. I don't care that some here consider this as Devers' best season, but when the team's best hitter has only 77 RBI at this point in the season with the number of RISP he's had this season, imho, is very disappointing. Batting in the .230's with RISP pretty much overshadows his other polished stats.
  7. My guess is that the SOX play looser on the road. But, then again, who the fk knows?
  8. Btw, the SOX are getting beat by a better team, so there's that. That they've actually beaten better teams is a tribute to their overachieving.
  9. Why the SOX play poorly at Fenway; anyone's guess is as good as mine.
  10. At this point I'd say ownership is the problem. Has been for quite a while. For this season, I'd also throw in long term injuries to important positions.
  11. I didn't say it didn't. If they had the same record at home as they have on the road, they'd be 22 games over .500. I know; if frogs had wings.
  12. Homefield disadvantage. The SOX now are 4 games under .500 at home. Truly disgusting.
  13. I noticed before the game started that Arizona has a fielding % of .990. Obviously, they don't beat themselves.
  14. If O'Neill was a car, the owner would be protected by the 'lemon law.' The same would hold true for Story.
  15. Great D by Rafaela. Joelly pretty much the same as he was before going to WOO. Growing pitchers in the SOX farm is similar to growing tomatoes in the Sahara.
  16. Easy to see why the Cards didn't re-sign O'Neill. They were tired of paying the guy for not playing. OTOH, the SOX have no problem paying players who can't play.
  17. I guess the SOX playing at Fenway neutralizes having a RH on the mound.
  18. If the Energizer Rabbit had more muscles, he'd be Duran.
  19. Devers is going to need a 10 RBI game like Fred Lynn had years ago, so that his RBI total fits in with his other stats.
