Speaking of big money pitchers, the Yankems signed Rodon for 28mil/year thru 2028. Today Rodon pitched 3 innings, giving up 4 runs and throwing 85 pitches. In his 2nd year with the Yankems Rodon's ERA was 5.06 before today's game. Last night I posted that most of the SOX BP were slugs. Rodon is what one would call a 'high-priced slug.' Btw, his W/L record is totally misleading, which is not unusual in MLB.

Developing their own pitching at the farm was never a strong point for the SOX no matter who the GM was. In the past when the SOX were a big market franchise, the FO would acquire big name pitchers thru FA or trades. So, I agree with MOON's critique of Bloom. He did a pretty good job considering the restrictions of spending big money.

On a positive note a shout out to Masa. It's about time we all realize just what an excellent striker of the ball he is. Btw, he hustles on every play, and that can't be said about a lot of MLB players.

Holiday is having a holiday tonight. 12 runs and Cora still has to use Martin. Has any team led the league in runs scored and still didn't make the PO's? The SOX have got a good chance at doing both.
