  1. Sox saving their challenges for the PO's
  2. He's living up to his legacy in this game.
  3. I may be superstitious or just stitious, but I always avoid praising a pitcher while he's still in the game. I also always avoid praising a goalie in hockey until the game is over.
  4. In fact, there s/b a team fine for that.
  5. Sliding into 1st is what mouth breathers do.
  6. The great relief pitcher Hoyt Wilhelm hit a homer in his first at bat as a major leaguer and twenty years and 432 bats later he never hit another.
  7. Rice and Lynn both came up to Sox late in the second half of the 1974 season and both were so good the press referred to them as the Gold Dust Twins.
  8. I'm employing 'Twins' in reference to the 'Gold Dust Twins', which Anthony and Mayer are certainly not.
  9. Anthony and Mayer. The Injure Easily Twins.
  10. Pitching and defense have been strong on this team. When was the last time we could say that?
  11. Just discovered that Ashby is a relief pitcher. WTF
  12. Just be sure the Sox FO staples Masa to Sonny in the trade.
  13. Sonny may be the most wanted available starter going into the TDL. I'm sure the Dodgers are sniffing around.
  14. Since the '24 season, Sonny has a W/L record of 36-18, including tonight's game. Having a 9-1 record on this team is beyond amazing.
  15. Aaron Ashby leads MLB in wins with 10. If Sonny gets the win tonight he'll be tied for 2nd with 9.
  16. Durbin's been the Sox best hitter over the last month.
  17. My thought is that the LH batters can't hit the ball to left to take advantage of the wall and most of the RH batters can't reach the wall. IOW, this Sox offense wasn't built for Fenway.
