At least Masa puts the ball in play. The longer the Sox delay trading Duran, the less he's gonna be worth. I'm not even sure his value right now is as high as some posters think.

Ernie Lombardi, who was a catcher during the 30's and 40's, is considered the slowest base runner in MLB history. Many times he would get thrown out at 1st by the right fielder. However, being the fine hitter that he was, he finished his fairly long career with a very respectable BA of .306.

Nah, his value is still high. The Sox should attach Masa to the Chappy trade. You want Chappy you have to take Masa. Sox will eat half of Masa's remaining salary.
