  1. Yankem fans think he's phat.
  2. If one looks up the word sweat hog in the dictionary, there's a picture of Sabathia. The mound must be soaked.
  3. No question. Nunez has gained a step recently.
  4. I believe he's actually overachieved so far this year.
  5. Except for Pedey, what are the odds the SOX will have all their best players healthy at the same time? I'd say a million to one. This is a fragile baseball team.
  6. Thanks for losing to the O's yesterday. 6-6 against the O's, so I wouldn't necessarily call them the 'good' guys.
  7. In the last month the conversation has gone from "let's get rid of this bum" to "maybe he should be the #1 catcher." Baseball is a funny game. Btw, VAZ's injury may have just restarted someone else's career. This wouldn't be the 1st time that's happened.
  8. I'm all for SWI catching Johnson tomorrow. Why not, Cora? Makes no sense having a player who's hot offensively and more than capable of catching to not be playing. Let's see what Cora does. We tend not to agree.
  9. I don't think the Phillies are tough. The SOX just had the misfortune of facing their two best pitchers, who were both at the top of their game.
  10. No doubt that SWI provides much more offensive tools than either Sandy or VAZ, but Cora will go back to Sandy catching. Mainly because he feels his starters are more comfortable with Sandy catching. I could see SWI catching Eovaldi and Johnson. Unfortunately, I have no say in the matter. Maybe SWI will get more games at 3rd.
  11. I can't predict how the SOX offense will perform against the Yankems, but I'm reasonably sure the SOX won't be facing the quality of starting pitching they've faced these last two games.
  12. I think we all could use a day off tomorrow.
  13. Cora could PH Pearce here.
  14. The SOX have faced two damn good pitchers the last two games. Sometimes one has to grudgingly tip the cap to them. Also, the SOX had some bad luck on a few hard hit balls tonight.
  15. Because both Kelly and Barnes throw so many pitches to complete an inning, they can very seldom be used for two innings.
  16. I guess Kinsler will have to hit a 2 run homer to tie this one.
  17. 25 pitches for Barnes. Well, tomorrow is a day off.
  18. C'mon Barnes. Don't make DD have second thoughts about not getting a reliever.
  19. I doubt we'll see Betts based on Cora's past practices.
  20. The Phillies are 10 games over .500 in 1st place and 5.5 games ahead of the Nats. The SOX are 42 games over .500 in 1st place and 6 games ahead of the Yankems. Doesn't seem fair does it?
  21. We're really lucky to still be in this game. Let's take advantage.
  22. Good point. JD is a line drive hitter who hits HR's; similar to Pujols.
  23. The throw strikes memo appears to have never reached our BP. Effective as the SOX pen has been, they do throw a lot of pitches before they end the inning. A recurring theme.
