  1. If I was picking players from the SOX for the All-Star game at this point I would go with Betts, JD, Sale, and Kimbrel. Because Kelly isn't a closer, he probably won't be chosen, although, at this point in the season, he deserves to be.
  2. To cover my ass on this post maybe they will surprise me.
  3. It's good to have many RH hitters against a LH opposing pitcher. The problem with the SOX is Nunez and Swihart aren't hitters.
  4. I agree, but I would love to see the SOX go after Britton.
  5. This was the kind of game where the SOX needed their 2 best relievers to win. Neither was in the game.
  6. Moreland will get hot again and provide offense, but then there will be the cold spells. Hot cold hot cold, ad nauseam.
  7. Barnes was throwing 98 so I doubt there's any physical problem. Like someone earlier mentioned, 98 with no movement has a name in baseball. It's called batting practice.
  8. A 'noonie' is actually a good thing. A Nunez is not.
  9. It appears that the SOX suffered jet lag in 8 of the 9 innings.
  10. Moreland is a .250 batter. No one s/b surprised with his regression.
  11. It's always a quagmire. Did Kelly tell Cora he wouldn't be able to pitch tonight? Or did Cora make that decision. Cora's gonna rest these players right into a WC situation.
  12. I guess Kelly wasn't available tonight. The bridge to Kimbrel is very creaky when Kelly is not involved. In fact, there hardly is a bridge.
  13. Oh boy! C'mon, Barnes. I've been nice to you all season.
  14. Well, at least I know where Barnes is.
  15. I like the drugs they advertise on TV where one of the side effects is death. Ask your doctor if that drug is right for you.
  16. What you say is true, but there are situations where it comes in handy. Players like Bradley should know how to bunt because that may be the few times he can help the team offensively.
  17. Note to all bad hitters: You should at least know how to bunt.
  18. I love how Nunez reacts to inside pitches. I think he left the area code on that last one.
  19. That fan in RF just saved a run.
  20. Whew! I'd still like to know why Barnes wasn't available. Oh, well, it's down to the 'K' boys again.
  21. I'm thinking Cora will wait until the M's tie or go ahead before he replaces Hembree.
  22. Where the hell is Carson Smith? What's that? Er, nevermind.
