  1. DP's=Low pitch count.
  2. It's either him or the Butler did it.
  3. Hopefully, there's a chance of many more runs for the SOX.
  4. Thank you, Playdough.
  5. Beeks actually pitched quite well in his debut with Tampa. Of course, there's a lot less pressure involved.
  6. Swing along with Mitch!
  7. Thanks, but I just put the TV on mute and listen to Centerfield by John Fogarty.
  8. Strangely, none of the bigger networks is carrying this game, so I'm stuck with the 3 whiny bitches at YES.
  9. I'm guessing Cora feels Mitch will get better pitches to hit with JD batting behind him. Personally, I believe JD should bat 3rd every game he starts.
  10. Agreed. On this current SOX team the chances of getting injured are high enough without pushing the odds.
  11. Just finished watching a documentary about Tony Gwynn on MLB. A great ballplayer and an even better human being.
  12. Then there was the Cubs' Tinker to Evans to Chance.
  13. The best 'CHANCE' in baseball was probably Dean Chance.
  14. I wonder if he's related to Doc Adams from GUNSMOKE?
  15. Chance Adams. Sounds like a lame TV western from the '60's. Let's hope his 'chances' are slim to none today.
  16. Spud is 6'11" with brown eyes. OK, I know what you're gonna say.
  17. How fragile is this team? They probably should avoid running.
  18. Healthy everyday players for the SOX: Betts Beni JD Pearce Moreland Holt Nunez JBJ Leon Lin Butler Of course this could change by the start of tomorrow's game.
  19. I agree. Johnson has earned the #5 spot. The alternative would be to start the game with Johnson; hope he goes 5 and then bring in POM. IOW, the SOX would have 2 #5's pitching in the same game. But, either way, I would have Johnson starting over POM.
  20. i don't believe that prevents Core from communicating to the dugout.
  21. When they make a movie of this season, Alan Alda has agreed to play the head of the SOX medical staff, but only if there are helicopters in the film. The name of the movie will be SOX MASH.
  22. Boone blaming injuries for Yankems' play recently. Yup, thank goodness the SOX are 100% healthy. Boone also said that the pitch inside to Betts slipped. Finally, it was the 1st base ump who instructed the HP ump to declare the warning.
  23. I thought I saw the ghost of Rod Serling standing inside the door of the Green Monster.
