Would have been nice if Betts caught that seeing as he did nothing at the plate.

BP is Workman, Barnes, and Walden and 5 days of rain.
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
He didn't know if he was afoot or on horseback.
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Barnes, although effective, throws so many pitches to get out of an inning makes it impossible to have him pitch a second inning.

    Are we missing Kimbrel yet?

If one wants to pick on Brasier, be my guest.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Brasier appears to be missing Japan.

With this current BP consistently getting 5 or 6 innings from the starters isn't going to cut it.

If I tried it, they'd have to do a chalk outline of my dead body between 3rd and home.

Ted Williams was on Larry King's radio show years ago. In response to a King question Ted replied "pitchers are the dumbest animals on the planet." C'mon, Ted, how do you really feel?

Good for Pearce. "All we are saying is give Pearce a chance."

There's other players on the SOX who deserve the 'picking on' more than those two.

Picking on Chavis is similar to picking on Walden. It makes no sense.

He hesitated after rounding 1st, which is why he should have been tagged out. Terrible tag attempt by Freeman. Cleveland's infield has been very helpful tonight.

    Baserunning isn't Bogie's strong point.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It's tough to have your starters go 6 when the team only has 3 guys in the BP that can be trusted.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It seems like everyone in the SOX BP needs a clean inning. Nice job by Barnes.

Btw, why didn't Cora allow Price to go 7? Is he still resting these guys for the PO's?
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
There's a few passengers on this team. Walden, imho, is not one of them.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I beg to differ. He's been solid in the pen until tonight.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
This is why it's important for a SOX starter to go 7. Walden was due for a crapper.

Can we get 6 outs from Kimbrel? Oh, that's right. Nevermind.

Baseball 101: Do not walk a batter with a .080 BA.

As weak as the AL Central is the Twins could start today setting up their rotation for the playoffs. They could also start selling PO tickets.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
He did miss most of ST. He may still get it going.
