To attain the won/lost record the SOX enjoy required a lot of overachieving and luck. Unfortunately, neither of those things may last the whole season.
I believe it's kind of early to call this a collapse. The Yankems are playing the O's and the SOX are not. And Tampa's home field won/loss record reflects that other teams, besides the SOX, are having trouble winning there.
I'm willing to bet that at season's end Altuve will be the BA champ. He's just automatic. Betts has played in 110 of 131 games so, imho, I doubt he's tired. He's in a slump, which he will get out off. He's too good a hitter not to.
More than likely tomorrow will find the SOX 6 games better than the Yankems in the loss column, which is the exact number of games remaining between the two teams.
