  1. One thing I believe most of us have seen in this offensive swoon is pitched balls that should be screaming going out of the park are just being fouled off. Mitch had a couple pitches there that he should have clobbered.
  2. Man, it will definitely help when E-rod comes back, but then one has to wonder if he can even finish the season, because he's an injury waiting to happen.
  3. s***, I forgot about Encarnacion. This Guardians line-up is now even more dangerous.
  4. One other thing; Cleveland has used their Ace in this series and the SOX haven't.
  5. I love this team, also. Who knows, maybe our BP will finish strong and Sale, Price, E-rod, and POR will be at the top of their game come October. I f'ing hope so.
  6. This isn't going to make me any friends, which I'm used to, but if I was forced at gunpoint to pick the team in the AL that will end up going to the WS, it would be...... ......wait for it............the F'ing Guardians. My heart wants the SOX to win it all, of course, but in the playoffs it's usually the team with the best combo of starters and BP that goes the furthest. Of course, key injuries could make this forced prediction null and void. A healthy Andrew Miller in the tribe's BP is a big plus for that team. The SOX have nothing close to a Miller.
  7. It appears the Astros have gotten out of their swoon with 9 runs and 14 hits after 5 innings today.
  8. Over the last 10 days the SOX have the second lowest team BA in the AL at .229. The lowest is owned by Houston at .225.
  9. I'd say that over the last week, the SOX offense has been weak. How long this slump will last only two people know; The Shadow and SOX HOP.
  10. Most of the fans in Miami are Yankem fans, which shouldn't be surprising, as F'ing Florida is actually NY South.
  11. Marlins with bases loaded and no outs do not score. Yankems, on the other hand, s/b embarrassed to be tied with this s*** team after 11 innings.
  12. Last spoken by the captain of the HMS TITANIC.
  13. That's probably your best post of the night and it's still pretty weak.
  14. Leon, imho, is an excellent pitch caller and defensive catcher. But he's not a magician; he can't make gold out of s***.
  15. Peterug? Is that short for Peterugly?
  16. Beating the worst teams in baseball on a regular basis will give a team a great won/lost record. The SOX do that much better than the Yankems. The Yankems have a better record than the SOX in beating the better teams. Unfortunately, the s*** teams the SOX whip regularly won't be anywhere near the playoffs. I believe the SOX's best record against a contending team is the Yankems at 8-5. Hopefully, this is a slump they're going thru and not an inability to beat the better teams. If it truly is a slump, better now than at the end of September.
  17. Poor kid; never got his cap on.
  18. Ted had a big swing, but, then, that was Ted.
  19. Left-hander with junk; we're done.
  20. OK, put on your Panda rally caps.
  21. I can do that for you, but it's gonna cost you.
  22. Although the SOX didn't draft Miller; he's probably the SOX's most successful effort of developing a pitcher.
  23. Damn, ok I'm gonna say it. Why can't we get a relief pitcher like Miller?
  24. Just rechecked Allen's stats. You are right; his offensive numbers are pretty offensive. Apologies to JBJ.
