  1. Chavez definitely embarrassing himself at 2nd.
  2. I have a feeling that what worked for Cora last year at a .667 pace probably won't work nearly as well this year. Of course, that won't make him do anything different.
  3. DD: "K, I need you here in Boston ASAP." Kimbrel: "No problem, I'll be there tomorrow. BTW, I want half a million after each save." DD: "What happens if you don't get the save?" Kimbrel: "Then I'll only want $100,000.00."
  4. Not all K's are irrelevant. It depends on the situation. When a pitcher strikes out the side with no one on base, are any of those K's relevant?
  5. I agree, but it magnifies how little trust Cora has in his BP.
  6. With a runner on 3rd and no outs I would regard striking out the batter as important. What planet are you from?
  7. Love him or hate him, Barnes is the best thing in this BP. Not a BP to give one much hope of reaching the PO's.
  8. The K of Arenado was one of the few important ones in this series so far.
  9. It definitely is irrelevant. Just having fun with numbers.
  10. Just further proof that K's are overrated. Nolan Ryan, the king of K's, finished his career with a winning percentage of only .526.
  11. Cora tried to get 7 from a 5 to 6 inning pitcher. Alright, file that for his next start.
  12. In the 17 innings played so far in this series, Roc K's have struck out 34 times out of a total 51 outs.
  13. Some observations: Beni & the Betts=0-11 with 6K's. IMHO, if you don't put your expectations too high on Beni, you'll be less disappointed. The prediction for him being a great player may have been mistaken. As for Betts, I hope I'm wrong, but last season may have been a career year for him. He'll still put up respectable numbers in the future, but nothing like 2018. That being said, a great pitching performance by Sale, who made one mistake and it was to the Rockies' best hitter. Brasier is probably going back to Japan and Workman was overdue for a bashing. In every respect a terrible loss and a true back breaker.
  14. I'd love to see Chavez in the HR Derby.
  15. Chavez hit a SOLOng HR. It was also SOHI.
  16. No other city in major team sports can compare with this roster: Ted Williams, Bobby Orr, Larry Bird, Bill Russell and Tom Brady.
  17. Seattle batter barely ran that out. Mariners in need of an attitude adjustment, which usually means the manager gets fired.
  18. Marshy, Pasty and Bergy.
  19. Gee, I hope that wasn't supposed to be a hit and run with Pearce at the plate.
  20. Love Pedey, but he may become the SOX version of Wally Pipp.
  21. Devers is so hot right now he could hit with a pink cocktail stirrer.
  22. It's official. Let the hard rains begin.
