  1. True, but it seems that since 1969 when the league lowered the mound, every modification to the game has been to benefit the offense. Disallowing the current version of the shift is just another f'ing rule to increase runs per game.
  2. Personally, I'm against the league butting in on how a manager wants to set his defense. If said manager wants to put 7 guys in LF, he should be able to do so. If the batters can't or won't adjust to the shift, tough s***.

  7. Pitching, pitching, and more pitching.
  8. Earl was a great manager. Palmer didn't like him, but respected the hell out of him.
  9. Plus Beeks was 5-0 going into the 1st game of the series.
  10. Having faced Tampa's two best starters, winning 2 of 3 isn't that bad. And there still is one more at bat.
  11. Unfortunately, I don't believe any game under protest was ever upheld. I may be wrong, which would not be unusual.
  12. I believe Earl Weaver holds the record for games under protest.
  13. I would protest every loss. Why the hell not?
  14. That's gonna hurt Devers' exit velocity average.
  15. For impersonating an umpire.
  16. Angel just received a subpoena.
  17. Are you calling Yosemite Sam a pussy? Them's fighting words you varmint.
  18. Angel is the brains of this outfit.
  19. Cash can be WTF, the sequel.
  20. Bryce Harper has already lowered the bar for a 300 million dollar contract.
  21. Taking out Morton after removing last night's starter proves that Cash has fond memories of his time in Boston.
  22. He'd have been better if he had come off the DL instead.
