  1. Nola is a very good pitcher. It's like sighting an American bald eagle.
  2. Yawkey would today be considered a white supremest. Back then he was just considered a good ol' boy.
  3. Baseball went from "say hey"(Willie Mays) to "say hayseed"(Bryce Harper.)
  4. Bad news for Nola is that his endangered species protection rights have been removed by Trumpy.
  5. Nola is a rare member of the endangered species in MLB. A good pitcher.
  6. Devers is overdue.
  7. Leadoff doubles never seem to end well with the SOX.
  8. With Ted's many visits to the childrens' hospital I'm sure he probably asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up. I wonder what Ted's reaction would have been if one of the kids had answered "I want to be sports writer."
  9. No one individual did more for the Jimmy Fund than Ted Williams. One of his ideas for people to donate was that any check sent to Fenway, Ted would personally autograph. Teddy Ballgame was like an onion with many layers.
  10. Walden has a pretty impressive hits per innings pitched stat.
  11. BJ started out sloppy, but it resulted in a happy ending.
  12. He's definitely no Nola Ryan.
  13. If Porcello is BUTTER, then BJ is I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER.
  14. Better hope it's both arms or he could come back to the SOX as a RH.
  15. Would have been great to have had the Tigers following the O's in this home stand.
  16. MLB has great heath coverage and a fantastic Workmen's Comp program.
  17. Is anyone else worried about BJ's pitch count?
  18. At this point the SOX are down 3-0, which seems to be normal of late. I'm worried about BJ's pitch count.
  19. Supposedly there's no such thing as a bad BJ. Wrong!
  20. Sale will miss the remainder of season. So, this will be the 2nd season in a row where he will have missed a month or more of the season. Not helpful.
  21. The SOX are due for a good BJ.
  22. DD just called me to start. I'm on my way to Fenway as we speak. He only wants me to throw 50 pitches, so that should get me thru the 1st inning.
  23. As of right now Devers has 301 total bases with 36 games remaining. Trout has 272 total bases. Before the steroid era having 400 or more total bases in a season was very rare. It won't be easy, but Devers has a shot at it. His current slugging % is .598.
