  1. Do you believe that good pitching beats good hitting?
  2. You may find this hard to believe, but the SOX are 3rd in MLB in runs scored. They're averaging 5.3518518 runs per game.
  3. OB and Eck keep referring to Cleveland as a bad ball club. Hey, guys, the SOX are only a few games better.
  4. If the SOX ever developed a pitcher like Plesac, the shock would be deadly.
  5. This game marks the beginning of the 2nd third of the season. The SOX are on pace to win 87 games, while the O's are on pace to win 51. At this point in the season the only SOX player I could objectively vote for to the all-star team is Devers. Of course, that could change as the AS game approaches.
  6. The hit Krug put on Thomas of the Blues last night was a highlight that will be tough to beat. And he did it without his helmet on. Reminded me of old time hockey.
  7. Today must be the 12th of Never because Betts is leading off.
  8. I guess I wasn't here early enough to initiate the OP. Oh, well. Hope it doesn't mess up the mojo. Betts Devers X-man JD Chavis Holt(LF) Pearce JBJ Vaz
  9. Going into NY with a hot JD would make a significant difference. Just call me Captain Obvious.
  10. As SOX fans we really don't have the right to dis other teams' BP's.
  11. Thought I might get to see Nunez close this one, but now that's not gonna happen.
  12. One thing about this game that's similar to last year; the SOX scored a ton of runs last year when POR was pitching.
  13. Just thinking that if Grady Little hadn't left Pedro in that ALCS game, there may never have been a Tito era in Boston.
  14. The only time in his baseball career where Canseco used his head.
  15. In hockey that would be referred to as a deflected goal.
  16. Jim Dandy! I haven't posted that in a while.
  17. Yup, some teams have a lot more than others.
  18. I'm not just referring to older players.
  19. With 30 teams you see a lot of players you probably shouldn't be seeing.
  20. Looks like the pitching coach is pitching for Cleveland.
