I'm presently employing a .250 BA as the defining line on whether a player when he comes to bat should be referred to as a batter or hitter. Under .250 he's a batter; over .250 he's a hitter. I think I'm being very generous using .250.
It's great that catchers wear masks or they'd be on the IL on a regular basis. What's hard to understand is why it took hockey goalies so long to adopt the mask? Crazy Canadians.
