  1. As of late Chavis has been more valuable with his glove than his bat. Who saw that coming?
  2. It appears that after this game both KC and the O's will be 19-41. Wasn't that the year Teddy Ballgame hit .406?
  3. Pinch hitting seems to agree with Nunez.
  4. Definitely agree with that. But I will admit back in the 80's when I did watch a lot of NBA games, I thought that of all the major sports, the NBA would have the best chance of keeping the talent level high. I was wrong about that, also.
  5. The SOX right now are like a person whose been shot 6 times. Where do you start to stop the bleeding.
  6. Thanks, YAZ. Sometimes I can be serious.
  7. Based on the number of terrible teams in MLB, the sensible thing to do would be, instead of talking about expansion, the talk should be about contraction. There's just not enough available talent to feed 30 teams. This also holds true in the 3 other major sports. But because everything is decided by money, this will never happen. And there probably will be more expansion. Truly unfortunate for real sports' fans.
  8. I'm guessing that KC fans are paying minor league prices for tickets.
  9. Yup, I just corrected that.
  10. Sorry. A quality start entails 6 full innings. My bad. Let's call it a fine start.
  11. Credit given where credit due. A quality start by E-rod.
  12. I don't see any team reaching the PO's with a weak BP.
  13. Gretzky was living proof that women could play in the NHL.
  14. Another stat from the KC feed. The SOX have the highest slugging percentage and OPS against RH relievers in MLB.
  15. Devers only one I'm voting for at this point.
  16. I watched YAZ play for years and I never saw him smile during a game. Of course, YAZ wasn't being paid millions of dollars. That might have made him smile.
  17. When it comes to KC, their pitcher Glenn provides the spark, man.
  18. Btw, if you want to complain about a team lacking mental fortitude, you're watching them tonight. And I'm not talking about KC.
  19. I believe you're way off base on that. This team had the most player time missed due to injuries in the NHL and still finished 2nd in total points. The 2 games the BRUINS lost to the Blues, the BRUINS were only playing with 5 defensemen due to injuries.
  20. Whether it's 6(which I still see happening) or 7, the BRUINS will win the Cup. This team is used to playing injured.
  21. Syracuse, but I refer to it as Poorexcuse.
  22. I heard he may have a broken jaw. Don't expect to see him in the remainder of the series. Bruins are so short on defensemen they may have to suit up Bobby Orr.
  23. Because I live in central NY, all SOX/Yankem games, whether home or away, are always on YES, unless they're picked up by a major network.
