  1. Good one. That why the SOX have to retire your number, Dewey.
  2. Same with last night regarding Workman. Cora's keeping them rested for the PO's.
  3. I'm with you there. None of the changes they've made to the 'grand ol' game' has improved it. In fact, it's just the opposite.
  4. The 'juiced ball' hasn't been of much help to JD so far this season.
  5. It appears that in the near future the BJ's will have an entire team comprised of sons of ex-major league ballplayers.
  6. Fun Fact: As of right now MC Hammer has more RBI than JD. 52 to 49 respectively.
  7. Rick's career ERA is 4.31 and his WHIP is 1.309. These are mediocre at best. The best that can be said about Porcello is his durability. Btw, no starter on the SOX over Rick's time here has had as much run support as he has.
  8. Hard to predict the future, Moon, but if someone asked me if I could only keep one player on the SOX right now, it would definitely be Devers. As far as your question goes, yes I feel Devers will.
  9. May, 2019 will be remembered as the month and year Devers became a force both offensively and defensively. Just unbelievable.
  10. Not a horrible night, but not a quality start either. 10 runs and counting will smoke screen a mediocre pitching performance.
  11. Thanks, Moon. I'd forgotten about Travis. Damn, how many options does Sam have left?
  12. Back in the day when there were only 16 ML teams, it was not unusual for players to spend 4 to 5 years in the minors. Also, back then, if a pitcher's ERA was over 4, he was usually sent back to the minors. I get it that every major city wants a pro baseball team, and baseball is making a lot more money now then then, but it has definitely been detrimental to the quality of the game. Again, this situation is also true for pro football, pro basketball, and pro hockey.
  13. When Moreland and Pearce return, will the SOX option MC Hammer and Marco back to Pawtucket? Obviously, there could be trades made making this question mute. Personally, I'd prefer to keep Hammer with the big club and trade Moreland.
  14. Btw, this is also true in regards to the other 3 major team sports.
  15. Dewey, I believe there's just too many teams and not enough true talent to man these teams. And I'm not just referring to pitching.
