Well, it appears you prefer airplane glue over weed.

First, that was sarcasm. 2nd, VAZ is not a bad pitch-caller. He, unfortunately, has to call pitches to more than a few bad pitchers.

    Barnes closes the door.

It's a rotten shame that Swihart didn't get the job as the SOX starting catcher. Some people never forgave the SOX for that.
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    No he didn't.

    Jim Dandy to the rescue.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    We actually need better pitchers.
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Counting tonight VAZ has cost this team 19 losses. He should be DFA'd and the SOX should re-sign Sandy.
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
And because very few times do SOX pitchers shake off VAZ's calls, they must trust him highly.

Really all a catcher can do is call for a certain pitch and present a target. The rest is up to the pitcher.

VAZ's pitch-calling? Richards seemed alright with VAZ's pitch-calling. But, of course, Richards can actually pitch.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Thanks. I guess it just looks worse than it really is.

Toronto has been a pretty good road team so far this season.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
One thing the SOX BP has to lead the league in is highest pitch count.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Well, that's one way to blow a web gem.

    Ol' Sawamura.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Using the analytics from last night's game, the SOX should score 6 runs tonight.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I hope you stay smart for the rest of the game.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Devers delivered two outs that inning.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Jays' pitcher is no matz for the SOX hitters.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Toronto and the SOX have one major thing in common; both teams are gonna have to score crooked numbers a lot to stay in contention.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Toronto just completely buffaloed the SOX tonight.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    That's the spirit, Max.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
The SOX may have lost, but they did have the better looking uniforms.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    The Jays will miss him.
