    One of the stats that the CY YOUNG voters don't look at is how many runs does the pitcher's team score when he's on the mound.

    It's quite possible that 3 of the top 5 vote getters for the CY YOUNG will come from the Astros. And it's very possible that our potential 20 game winner won't finish in the top 5 even if he does get 20.

    For me the two pitching stats that separate the great ones from the pretenders are ERA and WHIP.

    The SOX propensity for scoring runs when E-rod starts has more to do with E-rod's W/L record than E-rod's own stats do.
