Speaking of pitchers who aren't earning their money, do you all remember Ryan Dempster? Before the 2013 season he signed a 2 year 26.5 million dollar contract with the SOX. Before the 2014 season started, Dempsey decided to retire saving the SOX 13 million dollars. I remember Ryan saying that he was terrible in 2013 and he wanted to spend more time with his family. He was a class act.

Speaking of SOX world series; from 1946-1986 the SOX lost 4 WS and every one of them went 7 games. What's the odds of that happening. Maybe it was truly a curse.

That is correct. Ted Williams was also hit in the arm by a pitch right before the 1946 WS. Ted underperformed in that WS, but he never used his arm injury as an excuse.

1975. The 'gold-dust twins' and the last year before everything changed in the business of baseball. Charlie Finley saw it coming and bailed.

Before that in '75 he was injured right before the PO's and wasn't able to play in any of the games. That really sucked.
