  1. One good thing about the SOX play in September; it will make the departure of a lot of these current players easier to take.
  2. New rule: HR's that travel over 450 feet count as two runs. IOW, a grand slam that travels over 450 feet would produce 5 runs.
  3. Right down the middle with no movement what so ever.
  4. Kiermier is an excellent CF. Is he better than JBJ defensively? Imho, NO!
  5. One advantage for the SOX if JD did opt out would be it would free up a lot of money if the SOX were inclined to go after Cole.
  6. More than likely a trading partner would have to come from the AL.
  7. If he doesn't opt out, which I doubt he will do.
  8. I'd be very surprised if the SOX don't trade JD.
  9. The SOX should keep Weber if only for the fact that he has control of his pitches in the strike zone. Also, he seldom throws anything w/o movement. Yeah, he's a keeper.
  10. How can one not like Brockstar?
  11. Before the season started MLB had a special series regarding the 10 best current players at each position. There were 3 lists of SS's; 2 by so-called 'experts' on MLB and 1 generated by a computer. Only on one of the 3 lists was X-man shown and on that one list he was positioned at #10. FU experts and FU computer.
  12. Some things are so obvious just from watching every game that you just know it's a fact w/o even looking it up.
  13. X-man has been the best and most consistent player for the SOX this year.
  14. Thanks for verifying that, Jung. The thing about 'fact' and 'true' I stole from Bill Maher.
  15. We need a taller 2nd baseman.
  16. I don't know this as a fact, but I know it's true. The SOX lead MLB in highest average of pitches thrown per inning.
  17. When one sees the players the SOX brought up from AAA, it's easy to see why Pawtucket finished dead last.
  18. A healthy Pedey makes that play.
  19. If the Devil Rays win or lose, will that count on the W/L record of the Rays?
  20. Who, in your opinion, should the SOX keep? Will they have enough to field a team?
  21. Poyner has been impressive as of late. He's almost become an everyday player.
  22. Kimbrel just s*** his pants for the Cubs.
  23. I remember when I first got cable. I would get all the SOX games and BRUINS games on 38. The good ol' days which are never coming back.
