  1. I guess we'll never find out. I am assuming that Devers will be rested Tuesday after Monday's day off.
  2. Speaking of the SOX offense; I'll be watching ARMY OF THE DEAD on Netflix right after this game.
  3. This and more underhand tossed questions will be asked after the game. Congrats to Cordero; that was one pissed-off squirrel.
  4. Cordero just hit the hardest HR this year. 118mph. Speaking of 'blind squirrels.'
  5. Is there a reading comprehension problem here? Giving a team the best chance of winning doesn't mean they're gonna win every game. Geez.
  6. And one can't assume how well or how bad a pitcher will be before the game starts. Have you not ever heard of the 'blind squirrel rule?'
  7. I didn't assume anything. In fact I did say that as well as Wheeler is pitching it may not have made a difference. My main point was that Cora did not give his team the best chance of winning, and that should be the manager's main job.
  8. The SOX have 4 very good hitters. One (Dugo) is out on a day-to day. Knowing this, Cora the Coddler, decided to rest two of the three remaining. Based on how well Wheeler is pitching, it may not have made a difference. However, the line-up Cora put together doesn't define the motto "giving my team the best chance to win." I know the players love Cora because he pampers them so well, but being a fan and not a well compensated player, I do not love Cora. And I realize Cora will lose sleep over my not loving him.
  9. With the 2 days off this week, perhaps Cora can realign the starting staff. E-rod has qualified as a #5. He should also miss his next start.
  10. Good news: The SOX have won this 3 game series. Bad news: The SOX won't face as weak a line-up for a long time.
  11. Thank goodness he's not coaching the BRUINS. He'd be giving Rask and Bergeron a day of rest tonight.GO BRUINS!
  12. Usually when a pitcher has a good to great W/L record, his other pitching stats follow decently in line also. E-rod has been the exception to this rule most of his career.
  13. That would make him a 4-Wheeler with the distinct possibility of becoming an 8-Wheeler.
  14. I hadn't realized that VAZ is now a liability on this team. Of course, if over-rated E-rod stinks up the place, posters here can blame Vaz.
  15. E-rod better be pretty good today. The SOX getting him 5 or more runs today may be asking too much.
  16. Cora wants to be sure they're well-rested for the WS. There's coddling and then there's Cora coddling.
  17. Tampa can't be original about anything. They even had to copy the SOX in winning 9 straight. Plus their ballpark is a disgrace, even by Florida standards.
  18. But, seriously, I like having Marwin on the team. He's a super utility guy.
  19. I thought Ki'ke was Cora's guy. How many does he have?
  20. Good to know. A SOX sweep tomorrow and a BRUINS' win will make one hell of a Sunday.
  21. True, but he's pretty good with a bow and arrow.
  22. How long is Arroyo gonna be out?
  23. Yup, the rest of us were all doped up.
  24. Damn, I wish the SOX were in the NL East.
