    What E-rod also has is an ERA OF 3.80 and a WHIP of 1.34. Of course I hope he gets his 20th win, but he is far from the 2nd coming of Johan Santana. His 19 wins are more a product of the propensity of runs the SOX offense provides him than his individual skills.

    Having to watch the SOX lose on Extra Innings is bad enough, but to be inundated with those putrid, boring MLB promos just adds insult to injury.

    Depending on how serious that Cubs' interest in Betts, Price and JBJ is, it would be almost perfect. It would put Betts in the NL, where he can't haunt us as much. DO IT, THEO! Hell, we'll even throw in Gorkys, Leon and Owings at no additional charge, including free shipping.

    Nope, I never thought we couldn't do worse than Theo. Some very qualified choices, based on SOX recent history of GM's, may not even want the job.

    From what I've seen so far Gorkys has more trade value than Owings.

    I agree. One other thing Theo had when he was GM here that most GM's didn't have-a scapegoat named Larry Lucchino. It seemed like all the great moves were credited to Theo and all the bad ones were blamed on Larry.

    Those two were AAA guys. That's two reasons out of many why Pawtucket finished last.
