  1. I hope they give a new contract to CC maybe a 2/20 plus incentives. He loves NY and I'm sure he will come back, if offered a new contract. He's a stopper and a great presence in the clubhouse
  2. Well said, I learned from my dad, a school teacher (old guard), he was tough as nails, you won't believe how many former students showed up for his funeral, with some comments like he was a very strict but fair teacher, the best I had, etc. Now you can not even raise your voice in the classroom because you are risking a lawsuit, that's one of the reasons the new generations are going to waste
  3. Good point I think they focused a lot on him (and Sanchez) and forgot about the rest (Didi, Gardner, Frazier, etc)
  4. Yes, once in a while they post very interesting stories
  5. He was a very good prospect, I remember watching some replays and his beautiful swing, but what really got my attention was his arm, he was a real 5 tools player. At least he's doing good in his personal life.
  6. He had two amazing starts in a row, let's hope he keeps rolling
  7. I don't like Darvish, but if Tanaka opts out he might be a better bet going forward
  8. I think it was lost in the whole ALDS news, this is a great article written about this guy. A very sad baseball history, the good thing is that his personal life looks good. A feel good story http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2737245-ryan-westmoreland-and-the-brain-surgery-that-sidelined-left-handed-mike-trout PS Don't know if somebody else posted this, if so please delete the thread
  9. He was a good manager, and looks like a better guy.
  10. Yes, I looked that up and there are a couple notes in the web regarding that
  11. lol you have that right!!! I don't even care who will be our game 1 starter, everything that comes after last night is a win
  12. Houston offense is for real, let's see if our pitching can keep up the good performance
  13. Thanks Man
  14. Didi once again
  15. Ump have been all over the place the whole series
  16. He might not want to come back and spend some time with his family. I don't think money is an issue, this is the last year of a very lucrative deal he signed in 2013 (4 yr /16 mill)
  17. I don't think he will manage a team again, he had a stroke with Seattle, I just don't see him in a high pressure environment like Boston
  18. Welcome to the club Just wait to finish school, it gets worse
  19. I Would have Santana in the DH spot and as a safety net in case bird gets injured
  20. I don't, there's no need for him so far. Unless Frazier, Judge all flame out, along with a few guys in the minors. In the other hand, the Yankees might want to make a big media splash signing a big ticket free agent. After next year will be enough money to get Harper and Machado at the same time
  21. I that scenario. Who is your DH? Ellsbury or somebody new?
  22. Not very concerned with Frazier leaving, Andujar is ready to take over, also have Headley as the backup plan and not forget about Torres, who will be ready by spring training. If Andujar delivers, then we have a good problem, 5 guys for 4 IF spots, Bird, Castro, Didi, Andujar & Torres
  23. Agreed, he's been doing a terrific job with the young guys
  24. I feel the same, he might not want to come back unless the Stainbrenners convince him to stay (it will take a huge contract if he gets this team to the WS)
  25. I think he's gone regardless, my guess is that he will decide to stay away for a year or two His press conf yesterday was very emotional, trying to push the right buttons with the players, he wants to motivate the young guys for a final hurrah, hope it works.
