Kendrick to me is starting to get interesting, hopefully Bannister helped him figure something out.

I believe the only contract coming off the books next year is Youngs, I believe they also have a team option on Kimbrel. I'd be very surprised if we sign a premium free agent. My guess they concentrate on extensions. No matter what it would be almost impossible not to go over the luxury tax.

Because he is part of the first cuts I have to believe they have major concerns with his stuff. His TJ surgery was almost 2 years ago, sometimes it just doesn't take.

I understand the options part I am just surprised he was among 1st cuts. My guess is his stuff has not come all the way back. Have not heard any scouting reports on him this spring

First cuts today included Workman, Johnson , Owens and Devers. Workman surprised me has been getting good results. Wonder if his stuff is still diminished.

Not sure the exact tie breaker rules, but I think it comes down to runs allowed per inning, originally they had Mexico with the tiebreaker, but I believe Venezuela protested that in the ninth inning in Mexicos game against Italy that they did not retire anybody so it did not count as an inning. Which gave Venezuela the tiebreaker over Mexico. Might not be the exact explanation, but close.

Looks like we might get Smith back earlier then expected. If everyone's healthy this could be a lights out bullpen.

If after the playoffs you are going to have players s*** down for a month. If during the season you will have to shut games down for 3 weeks, so playoffs will go way into November. No perfect time.

If Leon and Vasquez are not hitting I'm not sure how much trade value they would have. There are some good defensive catchers out there that are available.

If Nolan Ryan said it it's definitely true. He is a modern miracle of science. Can you imagine any pitcher having his workload in these times.

Definitely not going with 3 catchers, if Swihart makes the team out of spring trainining it would be as the starting catcher. If the Sox deem his defense ready and don't have faith Leoncan come close to duplicating last years numbers, I can see them letting him go. I fully realize this could compromise there depth, but finding a defensive minded catcher who struggles to hit is not that hard. They can stash that catcher at Pawtucket.

I had no rooting interest in the game, but when Cruz hit that homerun it was like a game 7 of the World Series, cannot ask for a better game. Very exciting. Another great game today.

Thank you. But for me I'm not basing it on spring results, m basing it on Leon's history except for that 2 month period last year. Do not think he can come close to that. Hope I'm wrong.
