    Theo had a lot of power in the organization after he walked out and came back in 05, I don't think Lucchino was overruling him at that point.

    Lucchino always gets the villain role, not really sure how much of a villain he is. Was the president for 3 championship teams, brought Theo over from San Diego.

    Lacking has very good stuff, he is definitely a potential starter.

    Workmans velocity is starting to tick up from the high 80s to the low 90s, should be seeing him soon.

    I grew up in the 70s a half hour from Yankee stadium being a Sox fan, lots of obnoxious *******s in that fan base.

    Depends on how they stagger them out and if any hometown discounts, the other thing to look at is they are so young they will just be hitting there prime when they become free agents. Except for JBJ.

    Basically the reason why we signed Price and traded for Sale, Kimbrel and Smith was the great job with our position prospects. The core we had is ready to win now. While our best pitching prospects were in the low minors had to align them up.

    But they would have more assets to use.

    I understand all that, but they are still assets we have that can make the team better. It would also be nice to have Espinoza and Kopech around in 3 years when Sale and Porcello become free agents.

    I don't want to have to give up the Moncadas, Kopechs, Espinozas and Margots to get it, that's all I'm saying. If we can develop within we hold onto all those prospects.

    Yes we have very good young pitching right now, but the idea of developing it is so we don't have to overpay for it.

    We are living in a great era of sox baseball, people should really appreciate this ownership group. The sox have accomplished everything we could have hoped for when they purchased the team in 02. That being said we do need to do a better job developing pitching have struggled with it for the past few years. Believe with the added responsibility given to Brian Bannister, that we are moving in the right direction.

    Am disappointed we sent Taylor down, do not need 3 lefties, especially when 2 are specialists.

    Bucholtz has a partial tear of the right flexor pronator mass( whatever that is ) and is visiting Dr. Andrews. Not a shock.

    If price was top 5 in cy young they still make the deal, Prices performance had nothing to do with it. They had a chance to grab a top 5 pitcher on a team friendly contract, DD was not passing on that.

    We have also pitched the least amount of bullpen innings, which helps. But besides Friday's game against the Tigers it has been good.
