They have kids who are playing every day, who they can Trade now. German, Frazier, Urshela, Byrd, not counting their Minor Leaguers. Tons of Options. Scherzer Luxury Tax hit is $28,689,376, now probably less.

KC has a 19-40 record, losing to these guys would be bad. Just cant have it. You got to start playing like Champions, simple. Don't need a ton of stats for that.

11 of the next 17 games Sox are playing teams over .500, with Texas not good on the Road. Sox got to take care of business, against KC.

Talent is so watered down now they should not keep adding teams. Too many bad teams in MLB.

I have been saying for years, teams should be investing on Scouting, and heavily. You pay too much for Major League talent. You have to keep the talent flowing. Many times just like football you'll scout one kid, and another that's under the radar, catches your eye. Actual Scouting is important. MLB Draft is important, just for cost alone. Unless you want that 240 million dollar pay-roll. -

Used to follow it, still got my Perfect Game subscription, but as I got older, and ready to retire, just too many things to do. After the Draft I will look at how we do. Todays Scouts are nerds, no good, you need the actual Scouting. Those are the best. -
Sox playing KC next got to do a beatdown, on crummy teams, Toronto not much better for the Yanks, but these are the games you cannot afford to lose. If Opponent is playing a bad team too. To get back into this thing we need help, while we take care of business. 4 games this weekend with Tampa, while the Yanks play the Guardians, cannot afford to lose in KC.

Yanks are going to bring their stars back go into a big slump, and it will be too late to get their chemistry back. Rays are the Rays great young talent, but wont spend, to get them over the top. Sox will start beating on the teams they should beat, (and theirs many), and get right back into this thing. -

Interesting you say that listening to Johnny Bench, on radio said the other day, he would never yank the glove, he would try to catch it in the webbing, while the glove was in the Strike zone, to steal pitches. By catching that way he said he gained 2 inches. If he could, depending on the pitcher.
