  1. If your playing down to your Opponent, then you got a problem. It is important to know that you are playing a weak team, and do what the better team does, it takes care of business, and wins. Playing down to an Opponent shows laziness, and Champions should not be playing that way. This was an important series. Not because we played a weak KC team, but that we took care of business. If we lost here, then I knew this team had big problems. There is hope now. Best way to evaluate a team see how they do against weak Opponents, not the strong ones, that's a given it will be tough.
  2. Focus, play smart baseball, keep up the good habits. Finish the Job!
  3. 42 years old with a Broken Jaw. How can you not Love this team.
  4. Grzelcyk too. ALL men time to make a stand! All Hands on Deck! Love this Team.
  5. Lets goooooooooooo bruins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Raffy has tremendous Power to Left Field, as the season progresses, and he feels even more comfortable, and starts going more to Left, really watch out then.
  7. Last time Raffy made an error was on May 2. 85 chances 0 errors. It looks like he's figuring out for a 22 year old. Fantastic. Dalbec will be Trade bait, or moved to another position. Isn't Dalbec 23 years old, in Double AA. Not even close in conversation. He'll be 24 on June 29th. He's 2 years older then Devers. By the way Dalbec has made 8 errors in 97 chances. Devers 9 errors in 179 chances.....in the Majors.
  8. All I'm saying sometimes, its good for a kid, to say you need some work. Not for the year, just a kick in the ass, that it's not that easy in the Majors. Couple of weeks, see if he works on his weakness. For all the notes he writes he should write down stay off the high heat. Maybe he does, and that's what concerns me.
  9. You rather have Chavis then VGJ? Interesting.
  10. Agree want Chavis to get his at bats, but cant hurt the Parent club figuring out your weakness. He's got plenty of time to come back.
  11. Give it time. He's struggling against a bad team, lets see how he does against a good pitching team like Tampa. 4 games we'll see.
  12. I think Chavis will go back to Pawtucket, once Moreland is OK. He needs his at bats, and figure out his mistakes, up at the Majors. Once they have the book on you, they will not stop pitching you that way up in the Majors. Gave us a shot in the arm, but now its time not to hurt his progress too much, especially when your chasing for a division. Last 7 games .143 Last 15 .200 Last 30 .240 Going in the wrong direction. Main thing he went from a strikeout every 3 at bats, to a strikeout for every 2 at bats, in last 15 games.
  13. They did what they had to do, beat the teams they should beat. Don't get too high, but don't get too low either. You gained 2 games, by just doing what should do. Good. Now Finish it.
  14. Reliever goes first over Starter. In todays game makes sense.
  15. Many Minor League Fields are a lot like Oakland. Have you been to Pawtucket? Reason why their Pitching Prospects are illusions. I bet the Foul Ground there is even bigger then Oakland or close.
  16. Double AA for Duran a better league to see if Duran is an illusion. High A wasn't to get a good evaluation since he didn't have a problem there. He'll probably be in Portland rest of year, unless he tears that up too.
  17. Chara with a broken jaw. Still a chance he still might play. Toughest sport on the Planet. Not even NFL Football Matches. Hockey Players are the Ture Warriors, in Sports.
  18. Looks like the book is out on Chavis, in how to pitch him. 21K's in last 50 at bats, hitting .180 last 15 days. Got to make adjustments. This is the Majors kid.
  19. No kidding, like I haven't watched this game since for 60 years. You got to beat the bad teams, when your chasing. Simple. Yanks whooped the Orioles, in which that helped them get their good lead. Sale tonight, what's worse, losing the game of course. We should win this game. No excuses.
  20. Sale against a guy who has a 5.35 ERA tonight. Sox should have no problem tonight too.
  21. Sox did what they had to do to a team that is probably tanking. Winning these games should be a given. I worry about losing.
  22. Leading off and playing CF for Portland Duran went 1-3. Double AA a lot tougher, this is a good test for him. Holy Smokes Dalbec got 2 walks yesterday. Last 10 games Dalbec is hitting .256 in 39 at bats, 4 HRS, 3 BB's, and 18 K's. HRS look OK, but not the strikeouts.
  23. I guess your right, JBJ jumped pretty quick too, but took a little while to be a starter in Boston.
  24. You bunt, simple. John Smoltz was talking about this the other day. Players are idiots, want to get paid because the LONG Ball pays. Smart Manager would sit your ass down, if they are giving you a hit, and not taking advantage of it. Too much stats.
  25. Wish a Defense like a shift, would be used in Football. Haha They run 80% of their plays to the left, so we will have the whole Defense lined up their Right, and leave the other side of Field Open. Imagine the scoring.
