  1. For all the focus everybody has on JBJ and great Centerfield play, the best Defense, is Pitchers not giving up hits, and runs.
  2. You think the Pitching has improved with Vazquez as the Catcher? His improved hitting, great. Is the Pitching better with him as a #1 Catcher. Chris Sale Vazquez 6.39 ERA Leon 2.96 Price, for some reason Vazquez is his #1 guy now. Vazquez 3.65 ERA, this year. Last year with Leon, 2.37 ERA Leon doesn't catch him anymore. Porcello Vazquez 7.42 ERA Leon 3.45 ERA This team won 108 games last year because of the great pitching, not the Offense of a Catcher. Almost half a season with out its ACE, and the #1 Catcher.
  3. Looking at it wrong look at inning pitched by all the starters. All of them are killing the BP. Sale averages 5.9 innings a start this year. Price averages 5.1 innings a start. Porcello 5.5 innings a start. E-Rod. 5.7 innings a start. ALL the Starters are killing the Bullpen. Get the Bullpen ready in the 6th inning. Now your talking about 12 outs a game the Bullpen needs to get. That adds up quickly, to a lot of work for the BP.
  4. 2 things happened to this Pen, that we always miss, Carson Smith, and Tyler Thornburg. These moves were made for the future, so when guys left, they would fit in. These 2 bad luck situations killed us. Neither could come back from injuries, to help.
  5. 46-32 to get to 90 is doable, very doable. 51-27 to get to 95, Sox have to play good ball for this. Its on the Sox not other teams. You focus on yourself. You have no control of other teams slumps or injuries. If you don't do good wont matter anyway.
  6. Agree. I saw 2 HRS in my Life that I couldn't believe, 1 was Dave Kingman in Fenway, the other was Mays at Shea Stadium. He hit the clock in Center Field on a line, and still rising, that I swear would have been a 500 footer. Freakin thing made a bang, the whole place was silent.
  7. Betts at 26 has 123 HRS in 726 games so far, Mays at 26 had 187 HRS in 762 games after his season. Better way to compare.
  8. Boone just said it they felt they could hit the Sox BP. Cessa did a damn good job, to stop the bleeding. Ottavino, held it, and Yanks blasted the Sox BP.
  9. Betts has good Power, Mays had incredible Power.
  10. Yanks going to try to finish this Chapman in the 9th.
  11. This team should be repeating after last years performance. Just about the same players.
  12. Team wins 108 games one year shouldn't be struggling like this. Yanks won a 100, and they will do it again. You go from one extreme to another, you have to think about it. Just a season that worked. That's all. 2013 like that too.
  13. I'm starting to wonder about last year.
  14. Sox BP in this series so far, 11 innings, 20 ER's, 23 hits.
  15. These balls are being smoked off Brasier.
  16. Blue print to beat the Sox, just wait them out, and try to keep it close, before the 7th.
  17. Innings that take forever, always hurts the fielding. Your freakin sitting back on your heals.
  18. These are Home Games, the Sox will be 20-22 at home. They lost 24 games last year at home.
