A's lost so that's the good news this morning. Gained a game on Final WC spot.

Guardians are beating the bad teams, something we have struggled a bit this year.

Any stat that has the word Runs in it is important. You play to score more then your Opponent, and hold them to less runs. Pretty simple game that way. You get 1 hit in a game in 5 at bats and it wins the game or gets you the lead, to win it take it every time. Carter a career .271 BA with RISP, and a .258 BA with 2 outs and RISP, wasn't that bad. Reason why he probably drove in runs. His career BA is .259. Tells me he hit better in the Clutch. Ask Mitch Williams.

In his book "My Turn at Bat" Ted Williams wanted the 10 years 100 rbi's in a row more then anything, just missed it too, injury. Wonder why he felt this way?

Going into Baltimore with Price, Porcello, and Cashner. Cashner did the best. Sox Starters make 60 million dollars more then Baltimore Starters, lost 2 out of 3. To a bad team. Cannot have this.

I think Dalbec will be more like Middlebrooks then Chavis. Chavis although stocky is still quicker, and more versatile then Dalbec. No way in a pinch can Dalbec play either SS or 2nd. If need be I bet you could throw Chavis in the Outfield in an emergency, Versatile makes you more valuable. I wont get into OPS. Its a Mirage.

Good thing the A's lost. Then this loss to the O's would have been very costly. 5 in the loss Column behind the Guardians.

First series we lost there since May 2016, covering 11 series there.

Rarely happens, RBI is pretty simple drive in Runs. You might get 1 a year if that on your scenario. Maybe 2, if your driving in over 100 runs that situation means nothing. Your still good at driving in Runs. Runs is most important word in the game. Also on say a Double Play, and you hustle to beat it out, you should get rewarded.

More I think about it todays game is 100, every game you win is huge now. 63 game schedule, cannot lose games that you have the lead now. Just cannot, that 1 game might be the difference.

Agree if they project 89 wins, that won do it, I feel. Sox need at least 91 wins. Sox need to go 38-24 rest of way for this. This can be done. Sox have won at least 93 games past 3 years. They can get to 90 at least.

Curious to see how Darwinzon Hernandez does against TB, and the Yanks next 2 weeks. This might be possibly the key to Sox hopes if Eovaldi does good as a Closer. They must have spotted something, he's not walking anybody. If he does this he has the Arm to be dominating.

We can go back and forth on the Positional Players, but if the Sox don't start getting some real talent in the Farm for Pitching, or Young Major League Pitchers, who can come in and contribute. Wont matter much who's playing the Outfield. Pitching wins Championships.

Not even Mookie if the Sox get another RF? Mookie did darn good job out there too. I feel if Mookie is still here past July 31, JBJ will be dealt, this Off -Season. Might not be right decision too. I feel Mookie is not a 30+ a year player. But that is what the Sox will have to give him to keep him.
