  1. Post All-Star Carrasco has a 1.33 ERA, and Opponents are hitting .213 against him. So since baseball is so crazy, Sox will probably hit him tonight. He's been pitching real good lately, but against weak teams.

  3. Sox are aiming at Aug. 30, 31st, for return, against White Sox, on E-Rod. Maybe he'll be face Kopech as Opposing Pitcher? I think he might, if Kopech is going every 5 days, he is scheduled for the 31st.
  4. I firmly believe E-Rod will be the next Sox Pitcher to throw a No-hitter. I also believe he has the most movement in the last 10 feet into the hitting zone, then any Pitcher on the Sox, including Sale. If he could ever get efficient, especially in the Play-offs, he could dominate. This one Ben gets a Thumbs Up!
  5. Sox should have no problem scoring runs tonight against Bieber. Opponents hitting .295 against him this year.
  6. Kopech going tonight against Twins, but good Pitcher is against him too, in Berrios.
  7. From what I read today the plan is for E-Rod to do one more Rehab start, don't know where, and go from there, and see how he feels. His fastball hit 94, but his cutter was outstanding, according to Cora.
  8. This is Kopech's splits this year. Notice his numbers when he is ahead in the Count and Behind in the Count. Now, he faces MLB PLayers who really works counts. Look at the walks. Holy s***! He has been a lot better after AS Break, but many of the good young hitters were probably called up to the Majors. So we'll see with him. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=656629#/splits/R/pitching/2018/MINORS
  9. Cant wait to see Eloy Jimenez, he's going to be something. White Sox got some talent coming.
  10. Another Error for Dalbec tonight, 4th in 11 games.
  11. Real good sign, New Hampshire a very good hitting Minor League team. Too bad Guerrero wasn't still in NH, would have liked to see that, against E-Rod. They will be seeing each other anyway in Sept. Guerrero will be called up in Sept. for sure. Aaron Sanchez pitched against him, on Rehab. E-Rod 63 pitches 39 for strikes. https://www.milb.com/portland/news/rodriguez-sharp-in-rehab-start-dogs-win-4-3/c-291189730
  12. If it works, you save a ton of Money on Starters. Maybe have 2 good starters, and work the BP, I guess.

  14. E-Rod is scheduled to Pitch for Portland tonight in Rehab. So that helps. Facing a good team too for Double AA, New Hampshire.
  15. This time last year C.S. had 169 innings at this point. This year 146 innings. Just wish they didn't use the word "Shoulder".
  16. Agree, Pats have a Wide Receiver Kenny Britt, who hurt his hammy in May, hasn't been on field since. Rehabbing it. Perfect phantom injury.
  17. We'll see not next start, the start after that. Does he need more time? Or does he lose velocity?
  18. I figured someone would hit me with Williams. Exception. How many Ted Williams play today? Here's something on Boudreau's shift with Williams. http://joeposnanski.com/the-boudreau-shift/ Did you ever see him play? I did, at his end of career, lucky still above the ground. haha Edit: He advocated it? I remember Reading "My Turn at Bat", I don't remember that. Only become a pull hitter? I still have the book, have to read it again, to refresh my memory. You could be right. I do remember when Williams was Manager of the Senators saying what works for Frank Howard, wont work with Ed Brinkman.
  19. I would think a Shift helps a hitter. Tells him how Pitcher is going to Pitch him. Almost like stealing signs. The Defense is on Left side, so you know the Pitcher wants the inner half of the plate, it don't matter Fastball or Curveball, the Pitcher has to throw the ball to utilize the Defense. Hitters not thinking today, and smart hitter would hit Pitchers mistakes, which would be outer half of plate, where there is no Defense. Eventually some smart hitting Coach will see, hitting to all Fields makes you a better hitter all around. Not just because of Defense, it makes hitters better. Pitchers can't pitch you one way. If all you are is a one dimensional hitter (pull hitter), your really not that good of a hitter anyway. Mostly stupid, too.
  20. Earl Weaver said it best "Nothing Matters, except that little hump of dirt in the middle of the Diamond".
  21. I saw Alex Cobb shut down the Guardians yesterday in a 9 inning Complete Game, he has lost 15 games this year. Friday night Guardians only scored 2 runs off the O's too. If Sox Pitch I never worry about any game. Sometimes you have to tip your Cap to your Opponent.
  22. Ockimey is struggling in Pawtucket hitting .188, last 10 games hitting .152 with 15K's in 33 AB's. He got 13 games left to try to cut his K's down, and end the season strong.
  23. So you think Cash has something with this crazy Pitching moves? Future of Pitching Games?
  24. Everybody swinging at bad Pitches.
  25. Like this move.
