  1. Chavis, Dalbec, and Devers all 3rd baseman, something got to give this Off Season. Even if you move one 1st, then you got Ockimey, and whoever moves there, so your getting a crap load at one position, that could be used to improve in other areas. Seen Chavis, Ockimey, and Devers, neither one could go to another position, besides 1st base. Maybe Chavis to Outfield, but doubt it. If Devers can improve his Defense at the Major League level, then somebody gets blocked, because he's so young. Dalbec to 1st, which is what I would do, then that gets blocked down the Road. Trade has to be made, if Devers can improve. Dalbec to 1st, Devers at 3rd, leaves Ockimey and Chavis outside looking in.
  2. AFL Rosters https://www.milb.com/milb/news/vladimir-guerrero-jr-forrest-whitley-headline-arizona-fall-league-rosters/c-292614842 Here's Mesa. Red Sox affiliate. http://www.milb.com/roster/index.jsp?cid=555&sid=milb
  3. Guerrero not getting called up. Going to AFL to work on his glove. Too bad.
  4. OK so I take it you wont say move him to 1st anymore. That's OK too. He needed another year in the Minors to work on his Defense, only hope it doesn't show up in a big game.
  5. His fielding in the last Month will determine how things go for Devers. Last thing in the Play-offs you want is give Good Teams extra Outs. I could see Defensive Replacement for him late in games also.
  6. Jays are not going block Guerrero, he's gone either way. Just hope you get a pick for him. He'll be 33 in Dec. didn't know he's that old.
  7. Here's how I see it going forward, at one time Kimbrel's fastball was top of the line, now you got 100 kids throwing as hard or harder. Hitters are catching up to him. If he had the precise control, of his 2 pitches, he could dominate again, but he cannot throw strikes, or throw different zones of the plate, for strikes. Hitters are waiting him out, for hitters counts. Closers that don't throw strikes, precisely, at any time, are a ticking time bomb. Koji's fastball was Kimbrel's change-up, difference was Koji threw strikes. Different speeds, but batters knew they had to swing. Then Koji had them, made it look like a strike, but it wasn't. That's Pitching. Also why is he falling in love with his curveball recently? Loss of velocity? Loss of confidence. He's a Power Pitcher, pitch like one.
  8. Give him QO, and hopes he declines it. The kid, that should be up this weekend, will be next 3rd Baseman. 19 year old Guerrero. Problem is his Defense, growing pains with him too. But, going to be a star. Cant wait to see him when we play the Jays in Sept. Yanks will get to see him too.
  9. Always liked Sherman. Thanks.
  10. Let him walk, got to see how he does down the stretch and Play-offs. Right now he's way out of whack. When you got .160 Hitters hitting Line Drive, singles at critical situations, and pulling the ball no less, to put a bad team ahead, he's not the Kimbrel, that's looking for Big Bucks.
  11. To me Pearce has always seem like a streaky hitter. Just hope he gets into one of his streaks.
  12. Glad were playing this series, WS playing better ball.
  13. UCONN vs. UCF Good Luck. UCF is a real good football team. To be fair UCF and USF shouldn't be in this conference.
  14. Don't take the White Sox lightly. They are playing good ball lately, the young kids are starting to get it. Young staff, and if this kid Eloy Jimenez hits like they project, may have a future star. We might get to see him this weekend. They have improved in both Pitching and hitting after the AS Break. Their record is 20-18 after AS Break, little steps when you have a young team.
  15. David kick ass.
  16. I'm sure the Sox like him they Drafted him. Doesn't make him a sure bet, to be a great Reliever though, or even a very good Major League Reliever. Like I said no problem bring him up in Sept. and see what happens.
  17. Lakins 212 innings 89 BB's, pretty high in his career. 200 K's, I guess OK, not a real Strikeout Pitcher. He has repeated each season in the same League year before. Reading his College Career, he was nothing really special. Where are we getting all this real good feeling about him. Bring him up in Sept. and just see. Anybody see him in Portland in last 2 years? I missed him this year. Only has 13 innings in Triple AAA.
  18. David Price kick ass game tonight, would be great.
  19. Another thing I feel, if you Start a Reliever at start of the game, you take all the pressure off them too. Try to get 4 to 5 Outs, and Change whether its another Reliever, or one of 4 to 5 inning guys. You give Opposing team different looks, until you get to Back End.
  20. Most underrated play of the game was the block ball on 3rd strike with 2 Out, and Runner on 3rd in Top of the 9th. That was a great play by Swihart. Watch it again, that wasn't easy.
  21. Excellent Point.
  22. I feel these 4 inning starters are killing us too. I would seriously think maybe do a Rays thing, and use the Starters in the middle innings, to get to back end of BP. When E-Rod, and Sale come back, things will change. Wright will help too, had good outing last night in Pawtucket, in 2 innings.
  23. Still time left. And we are going to play some tough teams. Maybe a kick in the ass like doing a poor job against the Marlins good wake up call. Its getting crunch time.
  24. Earl Weaver "Nothing is more important than that little hump of dirt in middle of Field".
  25. We failed in one phase of the game, and picked up the slack in other area. But, it was picked up. Nobody quit, that's important. Other games could go other way.
