  1. And you pink hats say my Post don’t make sense. The game is about adjustments always was and always will be. You do not give up on a 24 year old player with his ability. Let alone a Champion! Remember Josh Reddick, How did that work out? You don’t trade A and B type prospects for Relief pitchers not named Rivera it’s to risky. In hindsight you also lost the Kimbrel trade. Develop pitching! This is why it baffles my mind that Henry has not revamped the Minor League development system. It’s time for the Crockets and Abrahams to be shown the door!
  2. Blaming Cora is a joke! Dombrowski is Cap strapped by the former GM’s p!ss poor acquisitions Bullpen overall sucks, but you had to bet DD is waiting a half season so the money goes down on any contract traded for so you don’t once again take a hit in the Draft order This Team needs to buy and sell at the deadline much like the yanks did a few years ago
  3. 2 games back in the wildcard and falling fast Go Dombrowski go, you ain’t made a bad move yet Players who should be on the block ERod Porcello Price Nunez Moreland Pearce
  4. Vs winning teams you must play .500 ball or better. Cream puff record won’t count come playoff time
  5. You can not rationalize a loss by saying “we played well or we had a lead twice or this player pitched well or hit well. Bottom line is, without a legit Closer and Barnes pitching the 8th your going to lose more than you will win. Record vs winning teams is 7 games under .500. Playoff Teams in general usually play .500 ball vs each other which gives you a 50/50 chance of winning come playoff time. Pitching wins in The postseason which has been proven. Until a 9th inning arm emerges your chances of repeating are slim
  6. How did the “Closer by committee” work out last night vs Twins? You legend in your own mind stat geeks fail to realize a loss is a loss is a loss. You can’t sugar coat it. Unless DD finds a Closer or hidden gem which is remote, I’ll quote the great Terry Francona “good luck with that”!
  7. Is this Alex Cora? 18 is history! Now let’s face the facts and the facts r undisputed Without a Closer and possibly a 7th inning setup arm your in “big trouble in little China Jack”
  8. Running JSmith out to close says it all Plenty of prospects to make a move unless DD is pulling an Ainge Davis to LA, thanks Danny you haven’t made a bad move yet! Kimbrel to Cubs for 3 years 40 mill says he was never done or past his prime Cash strapped is a beautiful predicament to be in, thanks Ben, Tom, Larry and john
  9. Call Feltman
  10. LOL Just think, best player on the board that year at #7 was AMeadows Thanks Ben
  11. Post Season Absolutely Regular Season, You Posters say Im nuts!
  12. update 12 16 vs .500 better Teams
  13. 12 15 vs .500 or better Teams and No Closer, “Priceless”
  14. Dalbec at age 24 is a borderline bust. Outside of Groome everybody else in the minors should be trade bait Call Koji!
  15. Correct me if I’m wrong but Kimbrel has draft pick compensation attached if signed before the Draft in June Thank Cherington and friends for the luxury tax
  16. You boys need to worry about the relief pitching instead of Betts and Betts Cash strapped once again is a beautiful position to be in. Kimbrel would look good in the 9th right now
  17. How bout that Brasier?
  18. Will Smith in SF is the pitcher to go after! 26 for 29 In save opportunities since 18. Closing very well this year. Age 30 and a Free agent in 20. Low money at 4 mill I put the great ERod on the block for a legit closer or set up man. Another hall of fame performance vs a triple AAAA lineup again tonight. Add Brasier to the list. There was a reason he pitched in Japan
  19. Josh Smith, now there's a gem. Career ERA of 6 with a 1.8 whip not to mention age 32. Great addition to the Rotation while Shawaryn sits in AAA Great call to start this slug who gets lit up by a terrible O's team
  20. Career .500 pitcher with a 1.6 whip and knee injuries. Should have been traded in offseason while the value was high. Inconsistent at best Hernandez Mata and Groome in the system, you could have helped your pen or farm system by dealing the player.
